It is part of the climate scheduling only. I am not aware of a way to do it independently from the app. While driving you can do that to prepare for charging on the center screen.

In the phone app select Climate. Scroll down to Schedule box and create. Lots of good advice above.

I use climate scheduling to have the cabin and battery warmed up before a trip.

I had the comms module fail, but that was no cell and WiFi all the time. Intermittent everywhere even after resets probably needs a service visit.

The counter argument that I prefer is that I do not have take my own cable out of the car and put it away after charging. I’m sure Europeans don’t enjoy coiling a wet cable up and stuffing it back in their cars.
