It appears in the video the strap is not parallel to the ground, and based on the angle it gives Ford an advantage. Its hard to see, could you confirm? If that is the case Ford is "lifting" Rivian off the ground and transferring its weight onto itself.

Because you would need more energy to achieve and maintain same level of comfort in a Rivian (or any vehicle for that matter) as you would in a home. Therefore it is not an apples to apples comparison.

Thanks for the insight, I've always wanted to know how Rivian would compare to other luxury brands. I have to say that coming from SRT Durango, I also miss the sound of the exhaust, those popping sounds it made when downshifting... ? However, the turbine whine of quad motors is pretty cool...

Congrats! What's your impression of R1S coming from G63? I changed my preorder from R1T to R1S because of its shorter wheelbase, and improved maneuverability. Which helps off road.

I asked about scheduled maintenance when took delivery and I was told besides tire rotation there will be a required coolant flush (for batteries I presume), but they haven't worked out the time interval yet. Also it still has a gear oil, that would need to be changed at some point in time...

I've read through the jump starting section of the "new" manual and it hasn't changed since I read it back in January. The only thing I see that's different is jacking car with new (mid 2023 and later version) jack kit, page 12. Am I missing something?
