Maybe change the title as this is not true? I just received something from them today. They do respond via email, but it takes them a few days. Guessing a big backlog to work through.
Thanks for pointing that out. I have these but have not yet installed and I did not notice this. Definitely would be better to have a cut out there like the front.
So safelite came today to redo the windshield. The tech said a gap between the seal and the outer edge of the frame on either side (not the top) was likely causing excessive wind noise. He took off the windshield and redid the sealing free of charge. My auto wipers were also not working since...
Check the brakes and rotors, especially the inner brake pads. If they salt the roads around you they are prone to corrosion, seizing, and premature wear on the inner pads with potential damage to the rotors (dont ask me how i know).
Yeah, my plan is to bring it back to safelite and hope they will make it right. The rivian service center tech had me take pictures of what it should look like on one of the showroom vehicles so I can show that to safelite. The annoying thing is I will have to come back for another calibration...
FYI, I had safelite replace my windshield and noticed excessive wind noise afterwards. I am at the rivian service center in montreal today to have the calibration done and they informed me that it appears safelite installed the windshield crooked with a larger gap on one side leading to the...
I think the common complaint with these is you can not access with the car in drive. It is not possible to unlock the drawer without putting the vehicle in park, which is a hassle. Would be better if you could just lock it when you wanted to (like handing vehicle over to a valet) as opposed to...
this is good to know. Agree the aftermarket versions that are not accessible without going to the screen to unlock are not very functional, but this is great that it fits with the gen 1. i wonder why they do not advertise that.
Thats great. Headed there from VT this summer. Did the trip last year and came back in one shot on the way home with two RAN stops and a supercharger stop so this will hopefully allow me to do it all on RAN alone.
my point is that to call them reciprocal tariffs as if those are the tariffs those countries placed on us is extremely misleading. But thank you for telling me what I am qualified to discuss. Remember, I have more degrees than you so my points are more valid. :-p
I don't really understand the argument that blanket across the board tariffs will lead to greater income equality. Even if you offset with tax cuts you by far are benefiting the rich with those tax cuts and are in turn negating any economic benefits in regards to the deficits. A much more...
Exactly. Easy to say on the rivian forum you are willing to pay more for things to be made in America but the reality is the majority can’t afford that luxury. And trying to solve that with tax cuts will just leave us further indebted to China (which I thought the party in power used to care about).
Are you suggesting that products made in the USA will be as cheap as products made in China despite the large discrepancy in wages? Will this come from automation? I dont think scale will simply solve that problem. You have to not pay a lot of people that were doing the production in China to...
