My wife's 2023 R1S seats are noticeably softer than my OG LE R1T. Even with four years & 63k miles on the truck and only 35k on the S. I remember thinking the R2 demo was more like hers than mine.
We had driven my R1T 3 hours to test drive R2. I didn't notice any particular difference in the R2 seats compared to R1. We were early and first demo of the day so got to spend about 45 minutes in it. I am 6'2" 215lbs. The most notable difference, as noted elsewhere, is the ventilated seats work...
It may not make sense but just casually watching the silly prices people pay for mediocre vehicles on BringATrailer and Cars&Bids means there's always a chance. You can just predict the insanity of auction site buyers. 🤣
Four years ago I ruled FG out because it shows dirt so easily. Now I went with Red Canyon and love my orange truck so it worked out well. But twice I have had FG R1S demos on the black all terrains and, dirty or not, it's just a fantastic looking vehicle. I'm leaning Launch Green on the R2 but...
I just realized today, 6/22, is the four year anniversary of my R1T delivery. Would be kinda poetic for my "first minutes" R2 reservation to turn into an order invite. 🤞🤣
Most people would have a hard time getting to ANY car dealership in 30 minutes. Especially higher end or boutique brands where there may be only one location in any give metro area. It takes me 45 minutes to get to the Lexus/BMW/Mercedes/Audi dealers in Birmingham.
Granted at my career point I...
I did that back in May 2022 when my number was pulled for my R1T. Wanted to see Red Canyon and Compass Yellow in person before deciding so drove over from BHM and dropped in on the original temporary ATL SC and their holding lot. 🤣
Judging from reports from test drives the pre-production units...
Atlanta has had R2 demos since they started two weeks ago at either the downtown location or Alpharetta. No demos from the original Service Center location. Use the scheduler and it will show you locations and then availability.
My biggest issue with them during our test drive was the significant response lag in adjusting the stereo volume. Everything else looks to be a learning curve to figure out just what they actually do.
Nope. Just use the emporia. That's what I have for our R1T & R1S and intend to just use it with an adapter with R2. In four years I have never needed the home charger to be connected to the Rivian app. Don't "need" a wifi enabled charger either. The emporia was the best buy and it just happened...
I tried that a few years ago when I drove two hours the day after Christmas to buy a car only to find out dealers won't take checks any more. Next attempt was to just put it on my card. 😆 Had to "finance" and then mail in a check to pay it off. Had it not been a great deal I would have walked...
Yeah, its the spare that adds to the length but I think they are a bit wider. Definitely recall the Terra is more full size truck length and won't fit where I park the R1T.
Remember the Scouts are much closer to full size vehicles than R1, so the folks who think our R1s are "huge" will be appalled by them. 😱
I have a "first minute" reservation for both Scouts. Not sure I'm interested in the EREV. Also not sure if I'm actually interested in the Terra since it's a...
Not necessarily on the higher interest rates. My credit union gives new car rates on "near new" cars. I don't recall the grace period, but something like a R2 flip would certainly qualify.
