I got an email from a Rivian authorized Xpel installer. For full body & ceramic it's $5300. Just took it in today.
if you didn't get an email, maybe contact Customer Service and see if they have an installer in your area that offers Rivian discounts.
they also do the full front for $1500, but...
Go with the Rivian Authorized Body Shop. Hopefully they know how handle Insurance Co's that don't understand Rivians. My body shop in WA was great at this. working with aluminum body is very different from sheet metal I understand. My body shop got this discussion handled well. Don't be...
I’m not sure if this is possible. I’ve seen comments, not in relation to any particular product, that the R1T isn’t suited/strong enough (attachment points?)to do this.
this would really be a game changer for me because the area I have to clear is close to 3-4000 ft.². And my snowblower doesn’t...
If you have an ICE vehicle that needs jumping from your Rivian, how would this be accomplished?
Is there a device you can plug into the 110v system, the 12v jack, or some other method?
Thanks!
Heavy can be good. Compact even better. I used to drive city buses in many bad snow storms. Sometimes the bus was the only thing moving. The ones with rear wheel drive and the engine compartment above that did really well. We had some 60 foot articulated buses with the drive wheels in the...
Exactly, it’s potential ice under snow that’s concerning. We get a lot of melting and refreezing as temps warm. For your 20” I’ve seen a lot of plastic type traction devices.
That’s good to hear. What I didn’t say yet, is I’m more concerned about roads going into the mountains that aren’t well plowed, or not plowed with maybe a foot of new snow. Just don’t want to get stuck up that way. Where rescue is more difficult. Not too concerned about traveled roads..
We get up to 4' of snow, not all at once. last winter was only 2'. I really just want them as back up if I get up into the mountains or get stuck. About 10 miles up that way likely to be 50% more. I've never had 4WD before, so I'm not sure how well it will work. Your information is...
Trying to get prepared for winter snow and would like to have the option of traction devices.
The manual says no chains should be used on the 20"
21 & 22" it says cable chains with diameter 16mm or less.
seems if chain links are 16mm or less that might work.
Just not able to find anything...
