  1. Rivian full self-driving

Are you saying supercruise and bluecruse does all that? I've used UHF several hundred miles already and it works well for my purposes. It does also detect stoplights and displays a warning, it just doesn't react to them yet. If you have a lead car, you don't have to touch anything in city...
  2. Rivian full self-driving

I've had pretty much the same experience with UHF, very smooth on mapped roads, tends to ping pong on unmapped rural roads and gets confused by turn lanes sometimes. Re following distance via scroll, that's now the left/right buttons for mild/medium/spicy. Thumbwheel does speed.... It was in...
  3. Rivian full self-driving

Both Ford and GM systems remain mapped roads only. Universal Hands Free is available anywhere it thinks it sees road lines. To me, that's a pretty significant difference in capability.
  4. Rivian full self-driving

I'm planning to just pay the one time price and get it for my Gen 2 for the life of the vehicle. With the existing vision, radar, and tech stack, I expect point to point supervised to be coming at least. Eyes off unfortunately will be reserved for vehicles with lidar and the next gen...
  5. New Can-Am Outlander Electric ATV

They have been ressurected by a Singapore firm and are going to go back into production. I got a email to schedule a zoom call with them couple weeks ago, they are being very proactive reaching out to current owners. I've had no issues with the bike so fingers crossed they will be fully back...
  6. New Can-Am Outlander Electric ATV

Glad to hear there is a way to precondition the battery for cold weather charging. That's the Achilles heel of my Energica electric moto, no active thermal management, so can't really charge it when below freezing. Not that I'd be riding it in the winter anyway, just more to keep it at a good SOC.
  7. Mileage Loss in Cold / what’s realistic?

I have pretty much the same build as you, 2025 T dual max pack performance with the factory 22s In the summer, I can make it to my cabin, 2hrs drive 110 miles 50/50 interstate on about 22-24 percent battery. This is 76 mph highway and 63 mph two lane cruise setting. Same drive last Monday...
  8. Digital Key, What are Your Impressions?

I wish mine was only 5 feet.... At my cabin, which is a relatively radio quiet area, it sees me at 15 feet, or more sometimes, and unlocks. Locking I've noticed is can take 20 plus feet or more, even in the city.
  9. Digital Key, What are Your Impressions?

Only bug I've noticed so far is when you disable proximity locking from the center screen. At our cabin I need to disable it otherwise it's constantly locking/unlocking due to being close to the house. Unfortunately if proximity is disabled, it then thinks my phone is my wife's phone since I...
  10. Purchasing advice - Gen 1 vs Gen 2

My 2025 gen 2 dual performance max pack came with the portable charger and the first aid kit when I bought it. I specifically chose one with the air compressor / utility panel option, so it came with the hose kit and the tire patch kit as well, not sure if the latter would have been there...
  11. Towing w/ adaptive cruise and lane centering

Per the manual, electric trailer brakes are only activated when you press the brake pedal. Seems to work this way on practice, I get a lot more regen when towing even my little 3000 lb camper. It's a Illinois build where brakes are required 3k and up.
  12. Towing w/ adaptive cruise and lane centering

I haven't tested it, but highly doubt you will have trailer brake control with accessory mode engaged. I only use the work around on my little light trailers.
  13. Tonneau cover - winter use question

I leave mine closed, and when it does get snow covered, it's snow brush and/or leaf blower to clear it, followed by parking in the sun (if it comes out, I'm in WI). The truck lives outside, so sometimes I'm just stuck waiting for it to thaw. More annoying issue I been having is the tonneau...
  14. Anti-EV agenda

    Sure, here ya go.
  15. Anti-EV agenda

I have a Energica Experia, which actually works as a EV tourer, provided your not of the mindset to just slab all day. It will do 2 plus hours between charges two up on 55 mph two lanes (at 60-65 mph), which is around 130-140 miles. I run up to my cabin with my daughter on the back, which is...
  16. Near Miss With a Deer

The adaptive high beams on Gen 2 are AWESOME for rural roads and deer. I was saved by them within a month of getting my truck last March. Classic situation of oncoming car and a deer crossing behind it, the adaptive blacked out around the car but kept the opposite ditch lit up bright...
  17. Taming the "AI Beast": My first 150 miles with UHF Universal Hands Free (I need your input!)

Nope, not yet. With an unbraked trailer you can toggle rear accessory more on and trick it (this is intended for a bike rack or similar with lights), however do at your own risk.
  18. Actual Tire Wear on Gen 2 DM Models

Had mobile service stop out yesterday to rotate the tires. Tech measured all four and they were even at 6/32 depth, so advised no rotation needed. Truck has 11k on it so far, I should be good at least till next winter, maybe longer. I had the alignment fixed at 1800 miles due to a crooked...
  19. Taming the "AI Beast": My first 150 miles with UHF Universal Hands Free (I need your input!)

Ice noticed that the overly cautious behavior tends to relate to whether there is line of sight through the curve. If it's clear, speed is maintained pretty well, albeit it may slow a little bit where I would just rail through it. However if there are trees on the inside of the curve, or an...
  20. Small things changed for better or worse after .46 update

Ok, I've seen the big red wheel maybe once in the 10 months I've had mine, most of the time I'm only getting to the nagging chime, so I'm not looking away long enough I guess to get the penalty box. It's more forgiving when wearing sun glasses since it can't see where you eyes are looking as...
