I love all these posts. Makes me glad that I enjoy the cold and the only time I run the heat is to defog the windshield. I always get asked, doesn't your efficiency suck in the winter? Nope, maybe a 5-10% hit max.
I wish they'd come up with a way to heat the windshield without the forced air.
same answer as the post you quoted, politics. Fear mongering drove the NRC to unrealistic regulations, which cause the build time and price of plants to skyrocket.
Is the Chicago service center still a hot disorganized mess?
Guest parking lot chained shut, service door closed, and "appointment parking" sign in a no parking zone?
Hate that place, wish they'd get it together.
less than a day??? ugh I heard horror stories of a long time when the issue was first "discovered". I'll have to use some tape to see if that's the cause of mine.
I was expecting it to take a few weeks.
Mine is loud above 45. Liveable so I haven't done anything.
Sadly last winter i left it out and i got a ton of snow on it. Brushed it off as best I could and drove it. It was dead quiet at 65mph. That tells me that it can be quiet and made me a little upset lol.
For me, almost positive...
Please tell me that's a snatch reference.
Also i figured the OP was from Chicago, but they are not. I'm amused by all the posts saying "let the police track it and arrest them"...
My SC is 20 miles (1hr) away and I hate taking the truck in. A multi day trip just for service sounds horrible.
Wonder if you can watch users on the forums. In 6 months there will be a thread complaining about having to take the truck 500 miles for service.
Yes definitely. I think they got spoiled in the beginning where most early owners were actively seeking all information Rivian. When patch notes would leak everyone would be discussing them.
As they move to more mainstream audiences they need to be better at information the user of major changes.
The answer is RTFM. These are complex machines with the power to be very dangerous. Clicking yes, yes, yes, accept, without reading what it actually does is ignorant and you are putting lives at risk.
Maybe they should force you to scroll through the changes before being able to click apply...
So you activated cruise control and it engaged as expected. And you hadn't read about the cruise at speed limit feature recently introduced, and were surprised. And it is the vehicle's fault?
In the future I'd suggest reading the software updates.
I would expect this in some areas around me. Wisconsin does not allow for the "resale" of electricity so they cannot charge per kWh delivered. Instead they charge by minute.
This is why I think EA downrates its stations on purpose. If you charge per minute and provide 350kW charging, you...
FYI you should not do this. The battery should not be kept at full for extended periods of time. You should only charge to 100% right before leaving for a long road trip where the range is needed.
Sure it does. The battery is insulated and gets very hot when charging. Mine is typically over 90 degrees when charging off the 120. My cabin also gets nice and warm while charging.
With no air flow to dissipate the heat it will take quite awhile for the pack to cool to ambient.
In another...
