  1. Reclaiming empty powered tonneau cover space

Could be a spot for the air compressor accessories bag. Make the bag bigger so you can actually get everything back in the bag. Also a spot for extra ball hitches, tow straps other emergency gear that doesn’t get used frequently, bit is nice to have, just in case.
  2. What do you use your R1T bed for? (Picture Edition)

  6. 3D printed manual tonneau cover?

Yeah, but itā€ll be pricey to build. Rough estimate is $700-800. High quality rollers, epoxy to set them, felt weather stripping for the track area, rubber weather stripping for the cab and tailgate ends. Iā€d have to get or borrow.proper tools as well
  7. DIY temporary tonneau / bed cover?

Customization is part of car culture. I just need to figure out where to put my chrome exhaust tips :) in seriousness I’ve got a plan in my head for a permanent DIY, in case Rivians fix is poorly made or ridiculously expensive
  8. 3D printed manual tonneau cover?

I like the Seaboard material, I’m just waiting to see what Rivian comes up with and the price before I pull the trigger on the HDPE. Iā€˜m thinking of routing grooves and maybe trying to find rollers that fit the rail system

  12. Driver+ takes off ramp. Truck possessed?

I have had the ACC slam the brakes for speed bumps and for no reason that could find. ACC seems to work great in stoplight to stoplight traffic and is ok at Interstate speeds, but at 40 mph on an empty boulevard, it acts paranoid. I would like a dumb cruise option for interstate travel. If a...
  13. One Pedal Foot Exhaustion

I use ACC 90% of the time, but I don’t like how slow it accelerates from a stop. With the ACC still engaged you can accelerate with traffic and when you reach the previously selected speed let off the pedal and it holds the selected speed. While this is great, when changing lanes to get around...
  14. Any updates on Manual Tonneau Cover availability and delivery?

I did a DIY cover, it’s last one on this thread. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/diy-temporary-tonneau-bed-cover.10300/page-12#post-284465 If it’s going be a better version of my vinyl fence, I’ll either build a custom wooden cover or a single piece of Seaboard and some weather stripping
  15. DIY temporary tonneau / bed cover?

They went in pretty easy, haven’t had a cause to take them out yet. I cut the V notch in the edges about 2ā€ deep. It collapsed pretty easy. There are some open areas along the tongue and groove edges that could allow moisture into the inside of the planks. But, it’s a temporary cover. Once the...
  16. Brush Bars Grille on R1T spotted at Denver SC

IMHO, they over engineered the crap out of this. Using the existing tow hook mounts is an excellent idea. If the hooks are strong enough to pull a 7200 lb truck, they’re strong enough to push snow or a 5000lb winch. A simple double tube ā€œbumperā€ and a forward leaning hoop would be a place to...
