I also have a R1T ~9 months, anyway have a R1S preorder, confirm config email today. I have done a first mile drive R1S and have seen several at the service center.
There is an optical illusion where the R1S seems bigger in person even though it is shorter length than the R1T.
I don’t think...
It is normal, the trade in can hold it up, it did for me. You can either ask to remove the trade then sell it yourself or ask your guide/customer service to push the trade in along.
I’m 3 hours from a service center(also have a R1T) so mildly concerned to deal with two vehicles(R1S preorder) but it’s not like traditional dealers are less painful to deal with. I think I’d rather drive than deal with the stealership circus show. For me probably would come down to value...
I also have test driven the iX and feel similar to your thoughts, it’s better than the r1s/r1t(ride quality, efficiency, range, build quality, driver assistance) and hard to argue against but Rivian’s are more capable. At early pricing the R1S is significantly less but at current pricing maybe...
We don’t know the mode, but we definitely know it’s not conserve and that would be the most apt comparison it’s not really accurate to compare one in all purpose and the other in conserve mode
I took delivery then was I invited to a first mile drive 2-3 months later ?‍♂️. It wouldn’t have changed anything but it’s still worth doing.
I’ve seen several times information reported from guides that was obviously wrong. I’m not sure if it’s the guides or a misunderstanding of what the guide said or complete miscommunication. Either way if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
Rivian definitely needs some automated processes for data mining that matches customers to built vehicles and sends invites to the shop by order date if you have a service center near. That would alleviate a good percentage of in many cases valid complaints.
Yeah I have used them in our Mach E. great small company. fit is great, super durable, but there isn’t a lip on them. I plan to use if I ever get an R1S..,
My perception was that guides have too many customers and are overburdened(poor communications, etc), which shouldn’t be surprising. RS confirmed they are assigned more customers than what most people would guess.
That being said I’d rather depend on them for things only they can help me...
