  1. Report: Santa Barbara to Oakland Towing 15' Boat

I pulled the tarp as it was inflating and impeding my visibility in the rearview behind the boat. Removal happened to also align with start of 30mph headwind zone...hard to decouple those variables, but I suspect the wind was the larger factor.
  2. Report: Santa Barbara to Oakland Towing 15' Boat

There is an EA station off of La Cumbre. Brand new, not listed on many in-vehicle mapping tools. On plug share though! EVGo nearby. 50kW though, unfortunately. There is another larger EA station in Goleta.
  3. Report: Santa Barbara to Oakland Towing 15' Boat

That's almost certainly what I was doing. Likely both unbuckled and over rotating/lifting to gain vantage of the boat's stern. I will see if staying buckled and continuing to rotate/lift as I have done is sufficient to address the issue. Even if Rivian comes back and says "feature not a bug"...
  4. Rivian Adventure Network (RAN) Fast Charging Launches in Colorado and California

Thanks @OutofSpecKyle. All the nerdy details I could have hoped for. Love the seamless plug and charge. I wonder if they will integrate storage for peak shaving at future sites. Can be very helpful from an operational expense perspective as EA and Tesla have learned. Noticed the mention of...
  5. Report: Santa Barbara to Oakland Towing 15' Boat

A quick report on my recent experience pulling my 15' jet boat north along 101. TLDR; Outstanding performance, noticeable but well-estimated range reduction, DCFC manageable with some creativity. I left SB with about 95 SoC. The truck handled as if there was nothing behind it. Despite the...
  6. Rivian Adventure Network (RAN) Fast Charging Launches in Colorado and California

Of course you are there, Kyle! Are you compiling a charge curve yet? Are these 500A dispensers?

  8. R1T Rivian Service, Rescue & Recovery Vehicle (w/ Pullout Drawers From Gear Tunnel) -- TFL walkaround

I need those slide out drawers! Gear tunnel organization leaves a bit to be desired for me at the moment.
  9. R1T Trip report. Round trip Portland OR to San Jose CA

Nice write up, thanks for sharing. Added an Orvis hammock to mine last night in preparation for our first trip down to Santa Barbara from the SF Bay on Friday!
  10. Fees at Delivery?

Envious of your $315 title and reg fee as a Californian... Weirdly my doc fee is only $70 though
  11. Delivery Status Hacks

  12. Delivery Status Hacks

Awesome! Bunk mates on the journey across the states. Good intel on the lack of change in status even after payment. I got a reply from my guide and she said no worries re waiting on payment AND/OR insurance. I already did insurance, but am paying a hell of a lot more than you! Can you share...
  13. Delivery Status Hacks

Suppose that is true. Strange part is status is "preparing vehicle" which gives me the impression they are actually still building it...maybe that is a false assumption and it is more of a catch all of a number of cases such as, waiting on a particular part, undergoing rework after failed QC...
  14. Delivery Status Hacks

Hi Everyone - Currently awaiting service center pickup of my truck. I've made my way through five of eight steps ( still waiting on payment, doc upload and delivery schedule). I reached out to my guide to ask that I be able to see the VIN at the SF service center before I send them money...
