I don’t have the fancy phase changing glass in my Gen 2.

Maybe the Gen2 has different glass. I bought roof shades off Amazon before delivery, then returned them because the roof glass doesn’t heat up in my Gen 2 R1S. Houston in July, and it’s fine, unlike my F-150 that had a factory roof shade.

Rivian’s trip planner seems to use whatever the current SOC is. There isn’t a way to change it. I ran my test when I was at 100% SOC.

Every time I reran the search, I reset the ending SOC to 0%. I still get this pretty big gap in Rivian’s two estimates of range, where it thinks I can’t drive 212 miles without charging yet the range indicator says “259 miles”.

Can I make it 212 miles in a fully charged R1S rated at 259 miles? The Rivian trip planner says “no”. What do you think? It’s highway driving, light traffic, flat ground, and warm temps.

Anyone found a good aftermarket upgrade for the audio? I assume a preamp and a sub would do wonders.

When I’ve got to tow farther than my boat dealer, I’ll trade vehicles with my nephew and his half ton gas pickup.
