I have now recalibrated 3x over the last two OTAs. Gen1, original equipment tonneau.
Seems there is a threshold that needs to be updated to stop the app from always telling us it is open?
My tows have usually enabled service mode. Perks...it keeps the alarm from going off, as I discovered when they haven't put it in service mode :D
If they are a Rivian brokered tow, they generally know the service mode piece.
If it is in service mode, the location is generally not updated. I have noted this when I had warranty service done and the vehicle was taken away on a flatbed.
Gen1 cams can replay the rough version of any incident that takes place, absolutely. For what happened purposes, yes it should cover the basics. But some of us want more detail, to be able to have more usable detail from the video.
Here is a clip from a highway crash that occurred in front of...
@Budman ,
Have you found that your camera records 24/7? I have minimal retention because it keeps loop recording all night and all day.
The hardwire (fuse tap) kit was one issue after the other, and support ended up sending me the ODBII power kit instead...much easier!
I am having trouble...
They dont tend to have quality employees. They seem to be so busy they just throw a guy in each job, even if they don't know what they are doing sometimes. I do keep using them however, since I bought my Continental Terrain Contact tires through them and I have the coverage through them now and...
Is there an ACC vs constant power fuse list that I'm missing on the forum somewhere? Their support recommended I hit two fuses, both of which are 50A, which their hardwire tap kit doesnt even support the physical size of :lipssealed: They were not the right source to ask...
I'm looking for one...
ABC - always be charging applies here for sure, it sounded like when I talked to 1800 service, yes it is critical but as long as your HV battery is above 20% it will maintain the 12V with charging and you can continue about your daily life. Until my mobile appointment came, I just made sure to...
Interesting, I had a mobile appointment in February after receiving the 12V needs replaced app warning at 43k miles. I was told it was 100% covered under warranty. Mobile came out, replace the batteries, hour or two, did one or two other things for me and then was on his way. Few weeks later I...
Yes, once every few years we get "snow" in the south!
I grew up in the northeast, so yes I know this isn't really "snow" but rather just a snow flurry.
Thanks for the thorough explanation, I will definitely change out the 15A fuse that was included. I will see if they actually list any power specs on the hardware or packaging.
I'm here with the same question, my dash cam hardwire kit came with 15A fuses but everyone uses 10A fuse slots for their taps on the driver side it seems.
