@runningdenver cross-posting some metrics I am tracking on this wheel/tire setup on another thread in the forum: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/installed-ev-sportline-r1000-wheels-and-nokian-hakkapeliitta-lt3-winter-tires.22103/post-459710
Another follow-up here through the end of the month of December. Running with the cross-bars on and driving another 606.6 miles, we averaged 1.97 mi/kWh. This was at 53-55 PSI. The efficiency impact was 7.32%. Again, for a nice adventure vehicle, I will take this all day.
@runningdenver yes they were already mounted, however I had to add them to my order as a separate zero dollar line item (see screenshot). Did you ensure you had them added to your order?
It took about 15 minutes of driving (6-7 miles) for them to register. I’ve been running them at 52/53 PSI...
And another data point here. 100 miles in at 52/53 PSI. Averaging 2.04 mi/kWh on R1000 and Hakka LT3. Will take a 3% efficiency hit with this setup all day.
@runningdenver installed this AM. I used Elevated Mobile Tire Services for the swap. They had Rivian experience and the pucks. Wasn’t cheap at $159, but time is money ?. I’ll consider my options again in the spring for when I swap them back out.
@runningdenver come mounted, balanced, and with air! While not installed here is a quick photo I took while unwrapping them from shipping this afternoon. I'll take a photo of them installed after it's complete.
I'm outsourcing installation to a mobile tire company locally this go round.
Thanks for the follow-up! Do you mind me asking which Discount Tire this is? I have pucks, so I can bring mine for the swap. Just want to go to a place with known experience with our Rivians.
Hi all. I'm ordering the 1EV R1000 wheel with some Nokian Hakka's for the winter season today. Does anyone have a recommendation for a local tire shop for installation? One that's worked on your R1T/R1S for tire rotations/changes before? We just want to take our baby somewhere she can be well...
