  1. 50W Mobile GMRS Hidden Install - Midland MXT575 (full DIY build)

This is one of the best vehicle DIY write ups I have seen. Very nice work!
  2. Someone, talk me out of dumping my R1T

We had a couple early Tesla Model S’s and their 12v batteries would die every 18 months or so. At first you had little warning but over the years Tesla improved the 12v monitoring and you’d get a warning 2-3 weeks in advance. Ultimately Telsa fixed the slow drain issue via software and after 4...
  3. R2 Launch Edition Price -- What are you expecting?

Launch Edition all in including Performance option, special paints, etc. - $65,000
  4. When R2 prices are released, how much is too much?

Yea - pretty much. That and rear torque vectoring.

    A salesman said? Really?
  6. When R2 prices are released, how much is too much?

I basically want a smaller, lighter R1S with a simpler suspension regardless of price. I am hoping I can get a “Tri Max” that is basically loaded. I don’t need self driving. My only concern about not getting lidar is future resale value and no access to future updates that may leverage the...

Can’t they just change the turn signal color using software? They are color LED’s I assume?
  8. New Service Center in Burbank, CA opening December

Any newer info on the Burbank Service Center? Google Maps lists it like all the others but it is not shown as open on the Rivian website yet. I am waiting to pull the trigger on an R1S until the service center is available. I live in Ventura County and just could not bear to make the 405 slog...
  9. Truckload of Fisker Ocean's

Damn that guy designs nice looking vehicles. We had a first gen BMW X3 that was built by Magna Steyr in Austria. It was very well made (not a great car but it was well assembled). Fisker is very smart for partnering with them.
  10. 48A vs. 40A for home charging??

I would hardwire if you plan on keeping the car for awhile. It is safer and easier than having to always double check that the plug is inserted. We have had 2 Teslas since 2015 with 2 Tesla 40amp wall chargers. Day-to-day I charge the cars at 30amps unless I am in a hurry. Charging at 30amps...
