  1. mapbox MapGPT?

Just saw the Electrek article about Hyundai integrating mapbox's MapGPT for navigation. I sort of wonder if Rivian could/would do this or if it would conflict with Alexa. https://www.mapbox.com/mapgpt Electrek article: https://electrek.co/2024/01/09/hyundai-evs-gain-3d-navigation-mapgpt-ai/...
  2. navigation system the worst there is.

Before this week, it had been a while since I went on a road trip of more than 100 miles. It seems like there are two weird things going on with the navigation now vs what I remember from before: 1) Maybe it's the colder weather but it seems to be wildly underestimating my range and wants me to...
  3. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

The sign is a bag over an old Toyota sign so something there is temporary.
  4. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

I was only given Mahwah as an option for pickup. It was pretty confusing for a while because it hadn't opened. It only just opened yesterday or Tuesday. It's possible that a limitation is the number of staff there.
  5. Reducing my Tesla footprint... took R1S delivery at temporary Mahwah facility

I picked up there today too. Good experience. Tons of R1Ss ready for delivery there.
  6. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

I am also now scheduled to pick up on 12/20. ? Maybe I'll see you there.
  7. Kneel Mode stresses suspension?

I had been driving around in low rather than auto for months because it made entry and egress easier (this was before kneel mode). Then I red somewhere (here or reddit) that low and lowest cause a slight toe in on the front wheels and could be responsible for some of the tire wear issues people...
  8. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

I guess part of the confusion on the Guide/Customer Service end of things is that it is open for deliveries and mobile service but not open as a service center. ?
  9. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

Update: while everyone l've communicated with at Rivian has been friendly and put in effort to help get me answers, there's a breakdown in communication somewhere. Over the past few days I've gotten conflicting information on where my vehicle is (first they told me it was on its way, then it...
  10. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

Interesting. Had your vehicle made it to Mahwah already? Or did they just go ahead and send it straight to Brooklyn?
  11. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

Yeah, it would save a lot of time for me too, if I have to get service again. I've had my R1T for 15.5 months and only had to visit a Service Center once. I don't know if I were to hold onto my R1T long enough to have the power tonneau cover replaced if I would have to go to a SC for that...
  12. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

I'm told that my vehicle is now at the Mahwah SC but that the SC isn't open yet so I can't schedule pick-up. Sort of frustrating that they only offered me that as my pick-up location and they can't tell me when it will be open. Also someone on Reddit noted that there were some Rivian job...
  13. Updated Powered Tonneau Cover In Action! [Video]

I was underwhelmed but it's not so low that it makes it worth it to me to try to do private party given that you only pay sales tax on the price of a new vehicle net of the trade-in value. Either a savvy offer or ungenerous offer on their part, I guess.
  14. Updated Powered Tonneau Cover In Action! [Video]

I've also had my R1T since August 2022 but I have not once seen the tonneau closed as it was delivered non-operational. I'm trading in for an R1S soon. It now looks like I will never see it closed. Oh well.
  15. First Rivian Service Center officially open in NJ (Mahwah)!

I don't see it listed on the public site or mentioned in these forums or on Reddit but I was given the option to pick up my R1S at a center in Mahwah, NJ. Anyone else have experience there?
  16. Please re-design or improve the Climate Control / AC Navigation Controls

I've driven this way in mild weather and it probably increases efficiency 10-20%.
  17. It fits!

I put a parking block in my garage floor to make sure I don't pull in too far.
  18. Would love to see an R2M ('M' for minivan)

7 in of ground clearance would be fine for me and I would definitely appreciate the easier entry versus climbing into my R1T. Also, sliding doors are the best. I don't know of any SUVs with sliding doors.
  19. Frequent urination incidents - how normal?

Same here. Also caught that once on my Tesla a few years ago.
