  1. Boise Idaho Area

Thank you for your detailed post. My EV1 running boards are due to be delivered tomorrow and I will go with the Gorilla solution. Are the running boards wide enough in your opinion? Do they actually make it easier to get in and out of the truck? I received my R1T 6/27/2022 so I have the auto...
  2. Boise Idaho Area

I will kick things off: Has anyone installed running boards on their R1T? My wife and I are height challenged. We use 'Kneel mode' but that is not quite enough for my wife. It would be great if there was a local installer but I doubt there is. That means that I will need to install them and it...
  3. Boise Idaho Area

This thread is for Boise Idaho and surrounding area folks to post anything related to R1T/R1S with the goal of building a Rivian community.
  4. Boise Service Center is under construction

A Boise area thread is a good idea. My wife and I are on the shorter side of the height scale so running boards could be a nice convenience. I camp but don’t intend to rock climb.
  5. Boise Service Center is under construction

Off topic: Has anyone in the Boise area installed running boards/rock sliders on their R1T?
  6. Boise Service Center is under construction

Significant axel chatter Alignment Charge door doesn’t shut all the way Wind noise from wing window Tonneau cover Major rattle from AC when on A few other minor issues Thank you. I will listen more carefully for the axel chatter but I don’t think I have that. I do have some ticking noises...
  7. Boise Service Center is under construction

What are the open tickets for? I ask because I don't have any issues that I know of. Admittedly I have somewhat ignored things not wanting to travel to SLC. Observations: (Truck delivered 6/27/2022, 6K miles {2 camping trips, rooftop tent}, charge at home, use kneel mode), All Purpose mode...
  8. Boise Service Center is under construction

I checked the Discount Tire site and it has Rivian R1T and R1S in the drop down menus for tire and rim selection.
  9. Boise Service Center is under construction

Visited the Boise SC this morning. * Partially open for some small service issues. * Waiting on a few permits and additional staff. Should be fully functional in 2-3 weeks * Rivian person I spoke with was very open, friendly and helpful. I inquired about having my tires rotated and he...
  10. Boise Service Center is under construction

I will drive by today and see what I can see and report back.
  11. For those who got R1S (or R1T) at original approximately $78k would you buy one for new price of approximately $93k?

IMHO I think there are a lot of $75-120k ICE pickups bought and sold that have absolutely no subsidies. I think the problem Rivian faces is that the OEM truck manufacturers have significantly stepped up their game with more horsepower, bigger bad ass image and intense advertising. Simultaneously...
  12. Boise Service Center is under construction

The Boise service center is under construction.
  13. For those who got R1S (or R1T) at original approximately $78k would you buy one for new price of approximately $93k?

Very happy with my R1T but would NOT pay $93K for one but that is personal threshold on how much money I would spend for any vehicle.
  14. Do you plug in every night regardless of SOC?

I charge my EV6(Level 2) and R1T(Level 1) to 70% each time I pull into the garage. I used to only charge when down to 20-40% charge but on a few occasions something unexpected came up and there was not enough charge and a few times where I forgot to charge. I can swap position in garage to...
  15. After 1100 miles and 6 weeks, thoughts on comfort and quiet of the R1T

I also have an EV6 GT-Line that drives and feels great but is not even close to the comfort and feel of my R1T.
  16. After 1100 miles and 6 weeks, thoughts on comfort and quiet of the R1T

After just a little over 3000 miles I completely agree that my R1T is quiet and an absolute pleasure to drive. The seats are the best I have ever experienced. Fortunately, I have not had any issues since delivery. Hard regen is perfect.
  17. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

My Meadowlark arrived a few days ago but have not installed it yet. I live in the Boise ID area and saw a FG R1T with rooftop tent, I wonder if that was you. Picked up the Meadowlark on a Black Friday sale for $1295. Looking forward to trying it out. Thank you for posting about yours.
  18. Can't save seat positions after 2022.43.02 Software -- "Driver's seat and seating wheel need resetting. Saved positions unavailable until serviced."

I don’t think they would have released the update if they knew about any possible issues. After the release is when they found out about the issue. It is a major pain for those affected but this type of stuff happens post software updates for just about everything that has upgradeable software.
  19. Can't save seat positions after 2022.43.02 Software -- "Driver's seat and seating wheel need resetting. Saved positions unavailable until serviced."

I am sure Rivian tested the software and it is quite possible that their test vehicles are like mine and don’t generate an error.
  20. Can't save seat positions after 2022.43.02 Software -- "Driver's seat and seating wheel need resetting. Saved positions unavailable until serviced."

Does the error happen right way or after a few uses? I did the update and made seat adjustments but no error.
