Mine got the same axle spline "fix" and has actually gotten A LOT worse. Mine crunches when on uneven terrain. It feels like bolts are loose or the battery pack is moving around.
It almost feels like they keep torquing one time use stretch bolts. If you've had the spline lube fix it will come...
To be honest it was probably already cracked from the factory... They replace a lot of those at the factory and a lot don't get inspected before delivery. PDI is also a complete joke at the service centers and they have the contractors doing a lot of the PDI work.
I'd chalk this up to a small...
Mine did this in the snow as well back in December. Parked walked about 3 feet and the truck slid back down the driveway. Removed the dusting of snow that was on the Driveway at the time and parked it again. 30 minutes later it rolled backwards again about 6 feet. Did this a total of 3 times...
Updating as I type this. Funny thing is I got this pushed "offered" to my R1T this morning and drove to work in turtle mode...
Gotta make sure my terminology is correct or I'll get my pee pee slapped again.
Man back in December they straight ignored my issue and I towed it in for this. They've actually deleted it from my WO at least twice. When I bring it up they act the same way. Totally ignore it or act like I never brought it in just for that. It's been the most frustrating automotive service...
I had mine towed back in December for the clunk because it caused a major issue when trying to go around a round-about here in the PNW. The SC in Bellevue removed the line from the WO and gave me the truck back saying they lubed the axle splines.
Same issue happened almost as soon as I got it...
I currently have this issue and it goes in for the 4th time on March 6th. 100% letting them know about this and seeing if they can look at this. I have this issue on the front and happens to both sides. They've refused to test drive it thus far. I've had this issue since delivery Feb 7th 2022.......
Sometimes I found that it was the black strips along the sides. They sometimes are slightly lifted or just not on all the way due to a potential roof glass replacement at the factory.
Well this is weird, but I have no VIN plate for the MFG Date. So yeah the VIN label on the door jamb is missing. I guess this is yet another thing I'll need to contact Rivian about now!
VIN is 1096.
Ticking/Tocking at low speed start/stop : Yes and mine feels like the subframe or battery is loose. I get actual bangs and knocks when I take corners and my steering geometry changes on a whim. Rivian has refused to look or fix the issue. It's been towed in and has gone to Bellevue SC 3 times...
I will update for sure. I've also requested a potential buy back or repurchase since this safety issue can not seem to be remedied. Again I absolutely love the truck and has amazing function on and off road, but I need it to be safe for some of the areas I drive.
Love my R1T, but the biggest issue with service. I've had some pretty major issues on mine and the local Service Center has been unable to handle basic diagnosis. I have a sticking brake issue and a clank and clunk from under the vehicle. Got towed in after a major bang while in a round-a-bout...
I have a pretty concerning and terrifying update on my Rivian and how Bellevue SC handled my tow in for a safety concern.
Cut to the good part: They released it without verifying my concern and told me it was a different issue. Issue is still present and dangerous... The vehicle got released...
I've asked twice never got one for either service.
As of today the alignment issue is getting steadily worse and worse under all speeds. When there is regen breaking it pulls to the left harder. They don't seem to consider this a safety issue.
I'm honestly shocked...
Well my issues got interesting. Got my vehicle back about a month ago and have been working since then to get it back in, but RPAs were taking their sweet time. Got the vehicle back after being told there was no alignment issue for the 2nd time now. I said okay maybe I'm just crazy and it's...
