on my gen2 I reported this issue and they replaced my entire ac unit to “study” it. It’s still loud but not really that much louder than any other vehicle trying to stay cool in the Texas heat - and not as bad as before the replacement.
Really disappointed they didn’t allow for an optional third row - even a tiny one like the Lexus GX and RR sport have. I could have used that to justify getting an r2 - wife definitely thinks it’s silly to have two R1S and we will be looking to trade in her GLS in 2026 or 2027. Guess I won’t...
I’ve got a Euhomy 32 quart sitting in my subtrunk. Not the biggest but performs well with not too bad power draw, Bluetooth monitoring, has room for ventilation, and is easy to access - especially with a slide but even without one.
Interesting. Gen 2 R1s dual here and I have issues changing from all purpose at higher speeds when the car is in “low” to “snow mode” that brings the suspension up to “regular”. I think the vehicle can lower the suspension when below 80mph but can it raise it when above 45/50mph? It used to...
I’ve gotten used to 1 pedal driving to the point where I find myself not wanting to go back. Especially at stop lights when I need to twist around to deal with a kiddo need - but generally find it to be more intuitive/responsive/natural.
Gen2 doesn’t have driver+. It’s called Rivian Autonomy Platform. A few words of caution:
TURN OFF LANE KEEP ASSIST!!
lane keep assist is a seperate function and it can create danger if for example you need to disengage driver+ or Autonomy Platform and steer into an adjacent lane/straddle the...
The changes to the underlying SDV architecture from Gen 1 to Gen 2 are pretty substantial - notably the shift from 17 to 7 ECUs. That change has a lot to do with why you may see growing substantive differences in what the software updates can deliver to Gen 1 vs Gen 2. I really don't believe...
Gen2 dual max early vin here - ~15k miles fwiw. Tl;dr: I’ve been getting intermittent “dc fast charging unavailable until serviced” errors on my dash that come and go seemingly at random. Note I did do a search on this forum and on Reddit and many others who have experienced a similar issue...
So I’m trying to understand the current software expectation. My camp speaker never shows charge status / percentage when docked but the imagery/icons suggest it recognizes that the speaker is docked and it does not say anything about redocking it. Should it show charge status when docked on...
my 2020 mercedes has an option to open up the front camera and show the lights on the screen when you are stopped at the front of a light. its nice when there's a ton of sunlight obscuring your view that the camera has a better angle on. that alone would be a great add. that said, I imagine...
