What's your criteria?
If paint selection is leading you around in circles, explain the cause
Paint selection influences cabin trim selection which impacts production delays.
If you plan on a wrap, paint is less of an issue.
fwiw, I've done this test with an ICECO 40 in the bed of an F-150 (metal tonneau like the R1T) and it heats up the bed … the fridge just keeps going no matter the ambient. I think the confined, enclosed space of the frunk will need ventilation (preferably a duct positioning opposite the exhaust...
I imagine that painted metal is the chassis and somewhere there is service access to the tonneau stacker or does your truck not have the hard retractable tonneau?
Hopefully less competent DIYers will see this thread before sending self-tappers into that plastic panel … : )
The charge % display can be … shy.
Sometimes there's the "reinsert" prompt I mentioned.
I asked if "100%" was 100% or was it more like 70% of a larger battery, but that fact won't be known till someone decides to disassemble the speaker. I'm just not that curious … : )
when the truck updates to 11.02, the camp speaker display includes % charge and prompts to remove and reinsert the speaker if it doesn't dock correctly. camp speaker software hasn't been written yet. I'm told it will eventually function as described in an early review (functioning as a speaker...
The racks for mine showed up in the mail with the two of the "kickass plastic" keys taped to the outside of the box … the other plastic-less key is like other Yakima accessories.
The packaging of the racks was "someone got some packing materials and cut up cardboard and wrapped it all as best...
Right. Having that little fridge in the middle of the tunnel with the armrest down would be enough air movement (except the rear seat is all dog hammock in my case.) I'm thinking mostly while stopped and overnight. I've had the 40qt iceco in the cabin, but it's a bit noisy and generates enough...
Hopefully Rivian gets the feedback on these mistakes.
It's disconcerting that there's no feedback system, no feature request system and calling (or answering a call from) RIVIAN5 is a groundhog day restart, blank page.
I mean in 2023 and 2024, the EV SUV market will not be what it is today. I wasn't thinking of ICE SUVs – they're history. : )
For the criteria you mention, for a typical buyer, all EVs are high performance, at least in this $100K+ market segment, all are luxury, all are much more capable off...
Yep. That's valuable …. and both sides of the tunnel can be stuff full of gear and still get at the fridge. Of course the controls aren't accessible, but I think there's a bluetooth app for that model of ICECO. (you'd want to be able to turn it off so it doesn't heat up the gear tunnel with no...
I guess something "supply side" has fouled up the shuttle. I had the option to take it 5-6 weeks ago. Maybe it still would have been a "missing accessory.." Maybe someone in Rivian said "enough" with all the missing accessory deliveries (I know more than I want to know about revenue recognition...
does anyone have the shuttle or remember its price?
I seem to recall it was enough for me to say "no thanks" … $1500?
It seems to be out of production.

It looks to be about 4 inches thick, but they don't include that dimension in the spec.
That idea of filling an icebox works out. I have the larger ICECO JP42 and it's on "ice" duty making large cubes which get dumped into another cooler (for putting in drinks, so it's made with clean water, not whatever is in the bag of ice at the supermarket.) It will freeze water to ice...
Secure storage in the frunk is great. I think RAM-like gear boxes in the sides of the bed would have been great … that's just void space and could be designed unlike the RAM-box, to not make the bed narrower. The gear tunnel is awkward and annoying that the hatches tend to not quite close and...
There's nothing in the sales contract, only in the terms of the pre-order.
Of course a corporation is privileged above an individual ("change without notice", binding arbitration, etc.) but I doubt they would refuse to sell to this person again . Tesla does attempt "black ball" people (other...
the gear tunnel opening is a questionable design – they really needed to recess the latch mechanism and square off the whole tunnel. I sort of which "stealth mode" design studios would show more confidence in their own capacity to execute and do end user study ("focus group") sessions –...
