  1. R1S Cargo Floor Risers (For Flat Floor) -- my 3D print solution

This is excellent! I've had a few people reach out to me about doing something like this. Alas, I have an R1T so I couldn't test it. I'm happy to help in any way I can, and quickly.
  2. NEW - OpenSourceEV Hitch Cover Thumbscrews (Direct Replacements)

Hey everyone - just a quick update on this. I was just on the phone with the wholesaler for these, and availability is next to zero for the time being. I was able to grab about a dozen sets from inventory -- they'll be in stock on Thursday -- but everything else is looking like end of March...
  3. UPDATE - Aux Cup Holder Version 2

They will not unfortunately. There isn't enough room to unfold between the pocket and the side of the seat.
  4. @Rivian - Put Your First PA Service Center in Lancaster

Rivian cannot put a service center in PA due to laws enacted after Tesla entered the market. There was a lengthy discussion about this as a 'headwind' around IPO time. I'm over in Pittsburgh and have a drive to Cleveland every time I need service, so I feel your pain. I'd suggest reaching out...
  5. Rivian Subscription Services - A Look At What's Coming?

I wouldn't be surprised if they locked down the browser to when we're in park. :(
  6. Rivian Subscription Services - A Look At What's Coming?

From what I've read, it's closer top $15 a month for car companies, assuming they share our their data like location.
  7. UPDATE - Aux Cup Holder Version 2

Hello my dudes! A second announcement for today, this one being for a significantly updated product -- the OpenSourceEV Parts Aux Cup Holder V2. Updates to this product are based on community feedback: Front Door and Center Console cup holders now sit higher to allow you to remove...
  8. NEW - OpenSourceEV Parts NextGen Phone Mount - Driver and Passanger

Hello my dudes! Today is another super exciting day - allow me to officially introduce the OpenSourceEV Parts NextGen Phone Mount. It's the latest generation of the best phone mount on the market for Rivian R1T and R1S. NextGen is completely redesigned mount, and like the Left Mount V2, it...
  9. Tire wear - how are your OEM Pirelli's or other brand holding up?

I ended up replacing my 20' Pirelli tires at around 12k due to the drone. It was so, so loud. I have a bit over 6k on my Yoko Geolander G015's and they're ... fine. $300 each, 4% less range, and a bit softer overall. I'd probably make a different choice, but I don't have regret buying them.
  10. 50.1 cruise makes me nauseous

I would do a complete reset -- not just the infotainment reset -- and see if that helps at all. My guess is that might be caught in a state and that would clear it.
  11. 20" Michelin Defender LTX Platinum Tires review -- For all of you thinking about a 20" tire! Your wait is over!

I think this will be my next. Have we definitively determined if they are substantively different from the stock Pirelli tire?
  12. Hertz to sell 1/3 of its EV fleet

From what I've read about this, it appears to be substantially a servicing issue. Expensive and lengthy repairs really take a toll on the overall profitability of a vehicle that must be on the road to make the financials work ta all.
  13. Scosche OBD-II to USB Adapter - Beware, it can kill your 12v battery and cause lots of problems!

I've encountered zero issues with my truck sleeping correctly with this connected to the OBD-II port. It's sleeping right now and my unplugged vampiric drain has always been good.
  14. My R1S delivery adventure. Delivered 1/13/2024 (R2 and R3 vids/pics inside!)

Hi Brian - Most mounts use the 17MM standard. RAM tends to use the 1" setup and Peak Designs tends to use the 20MM setup. We are starting to see some that use the 16MM setup, but that's pretty rare.
  15. Scosche OBD-II to USB Adapter - Beware, it can kill your 12v battery and cause lots of problems!

I've had one of these connected to the Scosche adapter in my truck for the last year plus without issue. FWIW, I've added a disclaimer to the item on my site as I resell this product.
  16. Rivian Subscription Services - A Look At What's Coming?

This also may include traffic data as it does in other vehicles.
  17. My 3D printed OEM-looking Camp Speaker Drawer

Also - its worth noting that that was posted here and anything made going forward will is done in a slightly lighter shade of black as it matches better with the interior of the car. Best example showing this is the upcoming Aux Cupholder V2: (the white balance here makes it look more grey...
  18. My 3D printed OEM-looking Camp Speaker Drawer

Production intent: Keep in mind that these are still 3D printed. They are also not quite perfect due to the need for supports in general. For instance, here is a zoomed closeup of the passenger top corner -- the worst area: (again, disregard the line in the middle of the front...
  19. My 3D printed OEM-looking Camp Speaker Drawer

Update: I've been working a bit on this, trying to get the supports correct enough to make it acceptable as an item that can be produced: (disregard the line in the front - that is from a filiment roll change) I think I've nailed it. So much so that I'm looking to move forward on...
  20. Painted Lower Cladding / Body Trim

This looks excellent. I really like it! Can you talk about your process at all? Products, prep, etc...
