Agreed, however Rivian is the first out there so the only thing they can compare to is ICE, and it's not going to compare favorably. It's not surprising to people with knowledge but to the vast majority of the population they would not be happy with this.

I personally hate touch screens in cars. Even on the ones with dedicated capacitive buttons because there is no tactile feedback. I understand there is a huge advantage from an update perspective, but so far I have not used one that worked better than good old switches.

I'm really not a fan of them trying to geofence or control the tank turn. Seems like the logical option would just be to have a torque limit on the motors so you can't break things. Tank turn really seems like a feature that is rare to be needed but when you need it you really need it.

I don't disagree at all. Just giving a comparison on articulation. Rivian has all the correct equipment to outperform the competition in most scenarios. High speed runs are where you really see the benefits of large travel.
