  2. Rivian Tells Some R2 Owners To Pause DC Fast Charging

We did a lot of traveling in British Columbia last summer in our Model X using A2Z’s CCS->NACS adapter and had no problems at all.

  5. R2 Wheels Options, Tire Sizes, Width, Offset - Hub Bore Size - 19" and 20"

I was not aware. I’m intrigued but, you’re right, this would take a bit of investigation.
  6. R2 Wheels Options, Tire Sizes, Width, Offset - Hub Bore Size - 19" and 20"

I fall into the 19” camp — since I want the most rubber possible between the rim and the road — but when my number comes up I’ll go with the 21” wheels since they’re the cheapest option, and then swap them for the 19” wheels when they become available.
  7. Moving R1T a tiny amount to hook up trailer

Yeah, if Rivian allowed creep mode then hooking up a trailer would be a cinch.
  8. Droping the tailgate on the R1T while towing? What are

Wow, I had no idea such a thing existed — ordering one today. The things I learn on this forum. :)
  9. Towing Advice in SD/WY - And Would Gen2 Help?

Wow, have not heard that yet. We frequent RV parks up and down the West Coast including Canada and have never had a problem. I did have a KOA manager express her concern over how much current I would draw because of the age of their infrastructure. After our discussion she admitted that the...
  10. Towing Advice in SD/WY - And Would Gen2 Help?

It would probably add a day (or two) to your trip but you could consider spending a night at an RV park with 50 amp service in between SuperChargers and charge up to 100% overnight.
  11. R2 Compact Spare tire....are you ordering it on your build?

Nope, I just carry a puncture repair kit but, in the interest of full disclosure, I don’t do any serious off-roading. When I’m on a road trip my vehicle is fully packed so if I don’t have room for a full-sized spare then I don’t have room for a full-sized flat either.
  12. Odd/new regen & reversing behavior

Just upgraded to 2026.15.0 on my ‘23 Gen 1 DM R1T but I don’t remember ever experiencing what you describe. I have experienced the ‘klunk’ when accelerating and I’m hoping that goes away with this new release.
  13. VION Giveaway: Win R1S/R1T Roof Sunshades + Gray Option Available Now!

It will soon be wildfire smoke season here, is this a HEPA filter?
  14. Love my R1S, but frustrated by a "Principle of the Matter" Service Issue (Stuck Charging Cable)

The Violent Femmes had the perfect response in Kiss Off: [Verse 2] I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record Oh, yeah? Well, don't get so distressed Did I happen to mention that I'm impressed?
  15. Considering 1000 mile trip with 4 x 8 UHaul trailer

Interesting. In stop & go traffic (or in the mountains) I would expect the heavier trailer to have lower efficiency but at freeway speeds I would expect the box trailer to have lower efficiency.
  16. Considering 1000 mile trip with 4 x 8 UHaul trailer

I agree with 3 of the 4 but I’ve found that elevation makes a huge difference. We routinely tow our 28’ AS over the Cascades and climbing drops our mi/kWh to 0.5 while, of course, we gain range coming back down but nowhere near enough to offset the energy used climbing.
  17. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

I beg to differ. I use my 2023 R1T to drag my 28’ AS up and down the west coast with a range somewhere between 120-160 miles depending on the terrain. During these extended road trips the most important factor, for me, is the number of trailer-friendly SuperCharger’s. My wife & I like to stop...
  18. Bluetooth interference

Mine gets choppy as well when streaming from a cell signal. The only place I can reliably reproduce it is when I use the truck to open my garage door.
