  1. Ceramic Coating changed my car washing life

The shop that did my ceramic coating first did a full paint correction, even though the vehicle was new. I was amazed to what a big difference it made. +1 on Gyeon Wet.
  2. Rivian x Kammok + Side Mount Kit Solution.

Cool solution! If not selling these, it seems like a great candidate to have made by sendcutsend.com if the drawings or specs are made available.
  3. Comma AI Owner Demo Drive Connect Thread

Bruce here with an R1S in Northern Virginia (Oakton). Comma 3 + The Longitudinal upgrade kit. Happy to participate. Shout out to @gerrylum, who helped me on Discord back in July with some troubleshooting. Would love to pay it forward. While the install was a bit a challenge, my experience...
  4. Got Electrician - What do I need to know?

Gotcha... Missed that. Unfortunately, my options are 40 or 48.
  5. Got Electrician - What do I need to know?

I'm not sure I understand. In my case, I had to adjust the dip switches to 40A to prevent overheating again.
  6. Got Electrician - What do I need to know?

FWIW: My licensed electrician used the wrong cable type to support a sustained 48A charge. Specifically, he installed 6/2 Romex NM-B cable, which is only rated for 55A. Because EV charging is considered a continuous load, that cable can safely support 40A max, not 48A. I had my Rivian EVSE DIP...
  7. Under dash 12v outlet inoperable

I don't have a 12v outlet. First thing that came to mind, though, is whether power to it is tied to the setting for turning on the 120v outlets.
  8. My First time Camping(ever) in my Rivian with the Mid-Atlantic Club on Assateage Island

Thanks! A labor of love for sure. At some point, I'll do a full post on the car bar. To answer your questions... I used this clear/ribbed liner (had some left over). It kinda grippy with glass, plus it was packed full so not much room to slide around. I used these bottle sleeves from Amazon...
  9. My First time Camping(ever) in my Rivian with the Mid-Atlantic Club on Assateage Island

Car Bar 1.0. Also has a faucet and sink. Purposely designed it to only take up one side so I could sleep on the other with a Luno mattress. Like Sapan, I was defining my own version camping. Thanks to all that helped with field testing ;-) Car Bar 2.0 will be collapsible for easy storage. I'm...
  10. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

I've had no issues since the update and can't speak to Tesla Chargers. I did, though, want to share an update on my situation.... Long story short, I now realize that my licensed electrician used the wrong cable type to support a sustained 48A charge. My setup uses 6/2 Romex NM-B cable, which...
  11. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

Confirming... Just received my replacement this morning. FYI, they request that you send the old one back to them.
  12. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

Update... I quickly got a call from Rivian Service after uploading the requested photos. They're going to send me a new charger. They also noted that since I have a single wire (instead 2 x 110v),that I should change my dip switch settings from 48A to 40A.
  13. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

I called them earlier and going through that now. Funny enough, I had logged over 800 charging sessions with this charger on ElectriFi l. (I charge daily, and many were scheduled climate control.) I filtered on sessions where more than 5 kWh was added and it's clear something changed earlier...
  14. Have original R1 half shafts been revised?

In my last appointment to address the clicking noise, they added ting washers rather than replace the half shafts. For now, the solution is working and I'm happy with it.
  15. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

In my case, it looks like it hit close 115 degrees when the charging slowed. It dropped just under 100 after a while.
  16. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

I'm curious if others have this issue and/or if it's related to any regent updates. I regularly get my home charging speed derated due to a warm plug. Charging starts around 11 kW (~48A) and derates to 6-7 kW and 30A. It looks like this happens when the plug reaches 100 degrees. Yesterday, I...

@Shaqdeez Bummer, no, they must have changed it this week. The current promotion is 25% lightning savings. BUT, there's now a stackable 20% coupon code that gets you close to that price.
