The main issue with drop in LiFePo4 for Rivians will be below freezing temperatures - you can't charge them at all <32F. This means that the battery compartment or battery itself would need to be heated.

Sure, they can say 'you broke it', but if replacing my 12v batteries with LiFEPo was identified by the manufacturer as voiding the warranty for some later fault I'd immediately...
Manufacturers have to prove it was your modification that caused the issue to avoid fixing whatever under warranty. Changing out a 12v battery is a non-issue. These things aren't rocket science.
