Anyone else having Charge Port door issue after 2024.07.02?

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up chatting with an agent and they are having me drop off the vehicle at the local service center tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed itā€™s just a SW thing and nothing mechanical. It was a wet weekend and I wonder if water got into a wire harness or the motor...

Anyone else having Charge Port door issue after 2024.07.02?

For what it's worth (not much) my R1T started having this issue after arriving home yesterday. Charge port won't open from the dash UI or from the external touch sense interface. Tried a hard reset last night, and a soft reset this morning without success. The dash UI does go through its little...

Is Rivian having financial problems? They will not reply to my request for $1000 deposit refund after three weeks

@jeffsolarspies , not that this helps your situation, but I was trying to return an unopened wall charger for over 3 months, and I kept getting told by CS and my Guide that there were "internal changes" happening and bear with them. I ended up just selling it locally.

Are you changing your charging limit after latest update?

Iā€™m sure they get banged up in there, but it keeps them scrappy!

Are you changing your charging limit after latest update?

I like to live dangerously, so I charge to 11%. Plus, the truck is lighter and more sporty with less electron baggage to weigh it down!

Gap on Passenger A-Pillar Interior Liner

Unless you are far away from a service center, Iā€™d just add it to a list of ongoing items you may want fixed (if anything it helps Rivian collect feedback on things they may need to improve inspection or assembly tolerance on.) For me, while the issue was cosmetic, it was one of those things...

Gap on Passenger A-Pillar Interior Liner

Got my truck back on Friday; issue is fixed! Service center replaced the liner and windshield as part of the process. I noticed that the passenger side windshield wiper wasnā€™t working after pick up. Good thing I had one of those bolt-tightener thingies (I think they are called wrenches) in the...

Gap on Passenger A-Pillar Interior Liner

Quick update: Truck is still at the service center. They had to take the windshield off, and *weld* a seam together along the A pillar due to poor assembly at the factory.

Gap on Passenger A-Pillar Interior Liner

My R1T is at the service center for a number of this, including this. We'll see if they can address it.

    Dual-Motor AWD vs Quad-Motor AWD Off-Road Comparison

Has Rivian stated that each motor is essentially an even divisor from the total output power when all motors are engaged? Wondering if the battery/inverters/drive system is limited to a certain total output power (~840hp) rather than each individual motor. For example, maybe each motor is...

Gap on Passenger A-Pillar Interior Liner

Nope and nope, but I don't know what was done with the vehicle before purchase (new).

Gap on Passenger A-Pillar Interior Liner

I've noticed that the interior liner on the passenger side A-pillar is revealing body-colored framing between the liner and the windshield. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but I see it every time I look at the A pillar (sort of a "can't unsee once seen" things). I've decided to add it to my...

    Küat: Piston® SR rack installed

I have this as well; Builtright + 2x Ride88 racks. So far no issues, but I am bummed about the tailgate needing to be down (and the poor backup visibility).

    Küat: Piston® SR rack installed

@HAL9000 - I'm trying to visualize how to get the bike on/off the rack; do you have to lift it over the quarter panel directly onto the rack? Also, does the rack open past 90 degrees to allow for more freedom while loading/unloading (in one of your pictures it seems that is a yes)?

What I learned from my 12V battery swap

My guess is that many peripherals are designed to work off 12V (not 400V+ of the HV batteries). Perhaps it's cheaper (or more efficient) to have onboard 12V chargers rather than step-down regulators that supply 12V directly from the HV battery. Or, it's possible that the 12V system needs to stay...

Rivian Elevation audio system - in house design change began February 2023?

Golden Ear Munro! Honestly it could very we be a good decision, especially if the audio performs at (or better than) the outgoing setup. Those rare earth metals are heavy

Ultimate MTB / Bike Carrier installed

havenā€™t had a chance to ride much lately (rainy weather). But I did take the kidsā€™ bikes around a bit. Seemed ok on normal roads. For what itā€™s worth Iā€™m also getting PPF on the tailgate because itā€™s going to get a lot of use.
