  1. Rivian acts of kindness - found matchbox on vehicle

I'm memorial area and folks def wave. Love to see the number of R1s in area growing too. Left shop today and found a surprise. Fun and cool and my son got a kick! Although now I feel like I gotta order a few and have handy!!
  2. Lost all acceleration in snow

Not sure why folks are responding as they are. Your questions seem legit and this is the place for them. Sorry you haven't gotten much help from rivian or here, that sucks. Good luck and I hope things turn positive soon!
  3. Anyone else have a disappointing delivery experience?

Keep doubling down; you'll convince everyone with your next post for sure.
  4. Rivian Quality - Two Genuine Questions

Like somebody above said, you've already primed yourself to be dissatisfied, so why bother? Just move on. The downside for you will be missing out on a fantastic vehicle, IMO. And echoing you (somewhat, bc you then wrongly dismissed it) and other responses, indeed people do post mostly when crap...
  5. Tesla FSD coming to Rivian?

Exactly this. I am mystified by the apparent appeal of any of these systems beyond the 'gee whiz this is the newest tech toy' angle.
  6. Rivian introduces home delivery fee

I live in Houston, but 45 minutes from the middle of nowhere they put the service center. Would happily have paid a reasonable fee for delivery but it was not offered/available. R1S is still awesome, still happy, but def an annoyance.
  7. R1S - 2 weeks - different perspective, same conclusion (it rocks)

Fantastic summary and agree on all the major points. Jealous that you've gotten to get it off the pavement to experience those capabilities and looking forward to doing so myself soon. It really is a great vehicle with only minor issues to enjoyably argue about endlessly.
  8. Road salt and rust on my Texas R1S ... how ?!

Update: I'm feeling a bit less concerned today. After finally dislodging the troublesome fastener, removing that bracket, and a good cleaning, the major issues seem to be confined to the cheap metal brackets and fastners. There are definitely some issues on the structure itself, but not near as...
  9. Road salt and rust on my Texas R1S ... how ?!

Logical, but despite my intent to do many 'adventurous' things in this vehicle, it so far hasn't been off the pavement. Unless my wife is sneaking out for late night beach parties in Galveston I don't know about...
  10. Road salt and rust on my Texas R1S ... how ?!

If it's the date right under the QR code: 01/23 VIN: 7PDSGABL9PA004023
  11. Road salt and rust on my Texas R1S ... how ?!

That gets a laugh/cry for sure! And I should have said more in original post about how awesome the R1S is. I genuinely love almost everything about it (looking at you useless charging pad and phone holder that let's phone launch into passenger floorboard on slightest turn!). Comfortable...
  12. Road salt and rust on my Texas R1S ... how ?!

Feb 25 delivery at houston service center.
  13. Road salt and rust on my Texas R1S ... how ?!

Hi all, longtime reader of this forum and have learned a ton just lurking, but have encountered an issue I'd appreciate thoughts on. Finally received my weistec rock sliders today (full thoughts on those to come soon, I hope) and proceeded to install. Step 1, remove the plastic shields on both...
