Thread is an argument for more rail. Bring back trains.
Edit: To contribute, I've taken multiple 2k mile trips in R1T with no problems, but, as is the consensus, the timeline is what clinches whether I take the truck or ICE.
I have a 65 Scout 80. Anyone wanna help me electrify it? Should be finished about the same time as these come out.
For what it's worth, I was interested until I saw how big the new Scouts are. My old Scout is tiny and perfect for tooling around forest service roads and such. That's what I...
Personally, Rivian does all the smart work, and my charger is outside open to the elements. Grizzl-E is overbuilt for just that sort of situation. It's been great.
To balance my experience, should also add the plug and charge at Iona and Tesla is awesome. So easy. No problems on the 700 mile drive out.
Also, the Rivian service folks, I’m sorry I can’t remember her name, were excellent.
I haven’t read this whole thread so sorry if repetitive. I have a Gen 1 quad, and I was coincidentally in Illinois for T-giving. Got stuck at an EVGo at the beginning of my 700 mile drive home when it wouldn’t charge over 19 kw. Service had me hard reboot and screen reboot. That fixed it for 2...
It's dealer prices on a premium vehicle. I've been using the dealer on my Mustang as I didn't have a local guy when I moved here. I can't get out of there for less than 250 for anything, and that's on as old school a ride as you can get nowadays.
Not much substantive, but my Pirelli AT's have a ton of life left at 22k. I'll probably switch due to the road noise, but they're likely good for 35+ for my use.
I-40 from about Bristol to Ft. Smith is all EA in Walmart parking lots (pre-supercharger), and I have grown to hate them. But I begrudgingly approve this. Ha. More options = good. Another app = ugh.
Only tangentially related: I relentlessly mocked my wife when she bought me hemp pants from Patagonia.
This is my public mea culpa. They're awesome, and I will be buried in them.
