Did we ever get solid advice on whether one should wait if he/she didn’t get 42? I hit up my guide but won’t hear until Monday, and the truck is suggesting i load 46.
Apologies for the zombie thread but has anyone gotten a rotation in NoVA? My driveway isnt flat enough for mobile, and I’d rather not wait for Gaithersburg or drive to Richmond if I can help. Closest Discount tire is, I think, Fredericksburg which is nuts.
Don't wanna kill your vibe, but I get 2.5 in stop and go on the beltway daily (after it warms up). That's the best efficiency I get.
Edit: All these things are situational. I'm sure it's fine.
Thanks for this. I'm in NOVA as well and due for a rotation. I've been dreading the drive down to Richmond. It was fun for pickup, but the SC is kind of in the middle of nowhere for walkable things to do. I was actually considering posting on here asking for tire places in Fairfax-ish area...
Seems like its going to be an annual thing. Something small to look forward to that will be different every year. That's fun. However #TEAMOWL, and give me red interior lighting all year.
It's been said a million times, but old-fashioned, dumb cruise control would be nice. I like to drive. I bought this because I enjoy driving. Just keep a speed for me for awhile sometimes. Sheesh.
Drove from DC to NW Arkansas. Made it there without using Conserve, but Tennessee is loooong. Using conserve on the way back, highways and cruising only, really cured some of the white-knuckling I'd had to do between WalMarts (EA) on I40.
But you can definitely tell the difference, and of...
Excellent timing! This finally got to the point where it bothers me today when I took some folks on a joyride. They didn't even notice, but it really struck when there were others around. Came here to ask about it, and here it is. Thanks, y'all.
The satellite radio/weather/news thing is almost unconscionable... My only real complaint after I got used to some of the weird fan noises and stuff that I only hear because there's no engine. Every time I go to the boonies, as soon as I get off the pavement, I lose cell reception and...
Not for me, but that's okay. I'm waiting for somebody to make a small, 2-door electric FWD. Like old school jeep sized. I think I'm going to convert my 65 Scout cause its just not gonna happen otherwise.
If someone goes through that way, please share anything you see. I'm sure that's the closest/best RAN for quite a few of us NOVA folks.
I go back and forth to Staunton area and GW Nat'l Forest all the time. This would be really nice to have. The EA's all work well, but I'm tired of hanging...
So I've always hated folks that ride their brakes. Drives/drove me crazy. My other car is a 6-speed, and I use the brakes sparingly by anticipating and situational awareness. That was the way I was taught.
Now my Rivian brakes on its own, and I'm one of those people. Karma, I suppose.
So apropos of nothing, I'm glad you like Bentonville. I grew up there, and it's unrecognizable to me. Mixed feelings at best about what they (and the Waltons) have done to my little hometown. But time marches on, etc, and some other cliches. Ha.
Live in DC area and saw a fair number of Rivians in the region. But you all that live in Seattle are not lying. I'm here for a couple months and the first car I saw picking up folks at the airport (when I landed) was an R1T. The sightings haven't slowed since then. They're everywhere.
