I just tested this. Turning off location services defaults your map to Normal. Our car is in transit at the service center for sure because we are taking delivery tomorrow and it did not go to the SC but Normal when I toggled that.

Our R1S is 103xx with a build date of 5/10. Considering this guy is getting 114xx already I’m guessing they are trying to make at least 1500 R1S’s a month to clear up the back log. That is absolutely awesome to see!
