There definitely is some dampening on bumpy roads that wasn’t there before in all purpose soft for the R1T, which was the intended smoother ride benefit. It rides now how I imagined it would before I received my truck. However, I had gotten used to the stiffer, more responsive ride, and now I am...
I appreciate the feedback on it. My initial thoughts were about conserving the gear tunnel space for other items, but getting into the bed to stow the slats probably sucks to your point about just having the powered tonneau.
Is it any less work to create an access panel and store the aluminum sheets for the manual tonneau in that compartment? I don’t know the dimensions relative to the powered tonneau.
Congrats on getting your truck. Little surprised that you would have a Meridian branded system with a June delivery unless you were referring just to the hardware.
Generally agree that the odds aren’t great given the impact to the overall customer base, but you never know. The other two populations are those that already have the vehicle without a tonneau before redesign and those that will have a vehicle without tonneau after it is reintroduced to...
It’s not about what was communicated at the time based on what limited information customer service had at the time. It’s about what Rivian may offer to their customers after making an assessment. The message shouldn’t be “don’t ask Rivian for it because they clearly weren’t offering it at the...
Wait and see is how I feel about it. There is time for them to replace existing powered tonneau covers, reintroduce the option to production, and assess if a retrofit is something they want to pursue.
I want to push back on the “it was clearly communicated that there would be no option“...
Who knows; maybe they can simplify the issue by making a precision cut for the button on the existing trim without weakening it. I hope they find a solution for upgrading to the auto tonneau.
As long as there is access to the wiring harness and the truck has tracks for the slats, there should be a path forward. For the missing button on the bed, they would need to exchange the continuous trim piece on the top of the bed for one that has a cutout for the tonneau release.
Low profile is relative, but this is one of the better dash cams available.

Similar thoughts. There are features in Android Auto and CarPlay that work well and I enjoy, particularly with google maps, phone call, and sms voice application integration. However, they do not currently detract from my driving experience in the R1T, and I am optimistic that Rivian will offer...
Hopefully they add some quality of life improvements for data management like a status indicator for data transfer to the external drive and support for other formats.
I imagine the camera activation for turn signals will apply to the right signal only unless they plan on adding the video...
I have the Rivian sound system (assumed based on panel design) in my R1T, and while subjective, the sound quality is great. There are likely competing factors other than audio equipment to consider for purchase and acceptance of delivery.
