The Rivian Portland Service Center and the mobile tech who serves my area have been amazing. I've had some issues, but they were dealt with professionally from the call center to the in-person tech. Name a car company that documents issues with video on an app? None that I know of...
I live in a snow and ice zone. Whether I’ve owned Suburban or Range Rover (both awesome snow/ice trucks) nothing replaces really good snows. I put the Nokian studded tires on my R1T and that work quite well for me. I did get center high in Snow mode and the truck wouldn’t budge. I used offroad...
I’m on my second round with the tailgate issue. I have mobile coming this week. I had to slam it shut and that worked but I’m afraid to open the tailgate until service gets here.
I’m on my second round of the lift gate not closing. I didn’t touch it after the first service appointment. Went skiing this week and open the gate to get my skis out and it stopped latching. Really annoying after dealing with a major snow storm at the moment and the gate won’t close. Luckily...
Since the new update there’s a sudden jerking motion when going slightly out of the lane. This could be a real problem in the icy conditions where I live. I’m fully outfitted with studded tires so I’m prepared but it’s still a potential issue. Anyone with an issue in snowy conditions? Maybe it...
yep, at the service center now with tailgate issue.. it only became a real problem when I couldn’t close the gate and then started to get warning message and alarm that an open tailgate and load was in the back. Some things should be left to simple mechanical design not software and electronics...
Still the best car I’ve ever owned, by far. 2 service center visits, better quality phone support and Portland service center visits was much improved.
True, but I think it mak
i stay around Manzanita /Cannon Beach there’s no hi-speed Ran nearby. There’s a flow traffic that goes North or South from hwy 26. It would be nice to have hi speed somewhere near that junction.
Same here. Charged in Madras, OR and it in a well located spot with 6 hi-speed chargers. A smooth and a very good experience. For those at Rivian reading the posts, the coast of Oregon needs a similar network. I was using an EA charger (1/2 the units weren’t working) in Beaverton and another R1...
Ha, ha, I knew the price was going to be replaced so no mercy. It worked well but should have used a thin soft cloth between the trim surface and clamp.
The mobile service guy came to my house and replace the seal with the newly designed part as you mentioned . The service tech was excellent. I can’t say enough good things about the professionalism.
I like both. My R1T fits my needs better. Leaving me and my wife’s expensive golf clubs in the gear tunnel and know they are secure is just feature I now can’t live without now. Today I’m looking forward to how the mobile service handles my rear window gasket issue. Something Ford and the...
Ha ha, no I’ve never washed it! I was away for 10 days and it’s pollen hell here. Plus, I live on a mtn. Trucks just get dirty.
Rivian hasn’t proposed a fix but I’m going to ask for a full trim replacement since it was clipped pretty hard a few times by the door.
I have sub 1k on my R1T and had a window trim piece separating and lifting. The front passenger door was starting to clip the trim when opening and closing so I used Gorilla Glue and a clamp to hold it down until mobile service arrives. I’m not surprised but a bit disappointed in the 1 month...
