I totally agree.
I had a defective tire that blew out after 15k miles. Rivian offered NO remedy, no warranty and no support from Pirelli. I would get ANYTHING else that is available!
I would NEVER sleep under the tonneau cover! Let me explain... We were towing our trailer this last weekend and it got quite cold and rainy. Over the course of the night there was a bit of frost over everything, including the tailgate and tonneau cover. In the morning I tried to operated both...
Sigh, add me to the mix - my R1T has the "no gps" icon in the display - Maps/GPS don't work, proximity locking broke (doesn't know where "home" is) and the UI doesn't show the option for this any more, the charging schedule doesn't work now (charge at home)... pretty frustrating. I put in a...
I needed a new hitch as the other adjustable hitch was sticking up and the tailgate would have dropped right on it.
This hitch - although expensive - is very nice quality and comes with a keyed alike lock for the ball and the receiver. Its rated for 3x the weight of the basecamp. (more than my...
Just picked up our Basecamp 20x over the weekend. The R1t pulls it like a dream. I was very surprise how stable the towing was and there wasn't any need for a weight distributing hitch.
I am planning a trip soon and wondered what to expect for real world mileage, I assumed 50% reduction...
Does anyone know if the tailgate is prevented from dropping if you are towing? I want to make sure I don't inadvertently ding the tailgate if it gets "released" onto the hitch/trailer pokey parts.
If it doesn't prevent that - sounds like a feature request!

Hi - I am about to get a Basecamp 20x, my curt hitch that is adjustable for my trash trailer looks low when the ball is adjusted one way and the frame of the hitch nearly touches the tailgate when its down. Would you mind taking a picture of what hitch you used and the height that worked? I...
After owning a Tesla Model S for 6 years, I *always* keep my vehicle plugged in when it is home. This allows cooling (if needed) and OTA updates to happen without any issues. I charge every evening after 9 to get the lowest energy costs.
FYI!
This is the sunshade I purchsed:
https://www.heatshieldstore.com/car-window-shades/2022-rivian-r1t-crew
It fits perfectly, I can wedge it in and it will stay without folding down the visors.

I use a "real" heatshield fitted sun shield on my truck, works great and makes a very significant difference. The heat shield cost about 60$ don't want to put any tint/films etc on my glass.
Just another data point.

OK, lazy ass homeowner tip - get a dump trailer. Then you can haul 2 yards and dump it where you want, keep the bed of the truck clean and not worry about the potential of skid steer/dump damage! I've been getting gravel at 2 yards at a time...
Question for the Hive - I recieved delivery of my truck with the 21" street tires. Do you think anyone will make A/T tires in this size? I figure my *next* set of tires (18 months?) will be A/T. Hoping that I don't have to purchase new rims etc.
Are the 21" rims/tires a one-off?
Hi All,
Reserved R1t June of 2020, Picked up my R1t on the last day of June 2022...
Really loving the high regen that allows single pedal driving.
I previously had a 2016 Tesla Model S, the Rivian seems much more refined from a mechanical/fit perspective - Tesla definitely has had time to...
Got my R1t this morning! For the most part is is amazing!
Couple of questions for the Hive Mind:
iphone 12 as a key is inconsistent, does anyone understand how to make the phone as a key more reliable?
iphone charging does not work in any position with a protective case on the phone.
Wind noise...
For those that have driven EV's before (Especially Tesla Owners) do you use standard of high level of regen? On my first mile drive I noticed that the R1T will regen brake to a stop (unlike Tesla) but I don't know what setting that was during the test drive (assume Standard)...
What setting are...
