They are tires. I don't think there's any real change in going to a non-OEM tire for any car, even EVs. There will be changes to range, but can't be any more than the changes you see based on how each person drives a vehicle.
I am seriously considering the non-EV Pirelli ATs. They are a couple of lbs per tire heavier. I am not sure if that's going to be that much of an issue, even though it is unsprung weight. They are less efficient, but I think I appreciate the higher load rating and warranty. Plus a bit...
I am still looking for lower-cost replacement tire option. I see two different versions of the tire, the RIvian version at $448 and the other at $360. The speed rating and load range are different. Is that the only difference? I wouldn't mind buying the cheaper version, especially since it...
Guys, thanks for the input. Didn't mean to disrespect trucks, just a different world from my history of tuned GTIs, EVOs, and Audi S6. The R1T makes it up with the acceleration. Not happy about the lack of top-end. I don't drive that fast all the time, but weird to get cut off that low. But...
Sorry, but one more question. Does anyone have any experience with Nokian One HT? It's a Finnish company and looks interesting. All season, not all terrain. But very competitive cost and only 51 lbs each.
Understand. I am a first-time truck guy. All the vehicles before were cars set up to go fast and corner hard. So, the tires definitely make a difference in cornering speed. Since the R1T Corners likes a truck, I figured I would just opt for a cheaper tire. I looked at the list one of the...
I am mostly looking for a good road tire, but all-terrain for the occasional camping trip. Load rating is important since I use my R1T for hauling heavy metal/raw materials for my business. The most so far was about 2K lbs of stainless steel on the bed. Tread life is important since the stock...
