  1. R2 as our only car

Hi, Our R1T is basically our only vehicle. We use it for daily driver and extended road trips. We can charge at home. My only complaint is that I spend a fair amount of time in northern Minnesota where the charging infrastructure is sparse. And the places I stay can't provide even level 1...
  2. Met a Production R2 (VIN #5) in the wild!

Black....kind of a dark gray to my eyes.
  3. Met a Production R2 (VIN #5) in the wild!

    I'm not sure. Sorry.
  4. Adaptive cruise requires driver+

I may missed this and my searching the forum isn't helping. Probably user error. Is driver plus subscription required to use adaptive cruise? Thanks!
  5. How many R1 owners are moving to R2?

Definitely getting an R2, not sure if we'll keep our T as well. The R2 fits our needs better but I like having a truck too.
  6. Met a Production R2 (VIN #5) in the wild!

My impression was this was his vehicle. I didn't ask and could be wrong. He did say who got vins 2, 3 and 4 and they were all higher ups...vp types.
  7. Met a Production R2 (VIN #5) in the wild!

Ha ha. We offered. No dice.
  8. Met a Production R2 (VIN #5) in the wild!

I didn't notice but I assume he had dealer plates. He is a Rivian employee based in Irvine. RJ got Vin #1 😅Kyle maybe #2 - just kidding! My impression is they were on a shakeout mission. Along with others driving to California. It had the all terrains on. They aren't as aggressive as the R1...
  9. Met a Production R2 (VIN #5) in the wild!

Pulled into a charger in Kearney Nebraska and saw a Rivian backed into supercharger stall. Did a double take and realized it was an R2. They were driving it from Illinois to California. I don't have any details to share other than I saw it and it's fantastic! The guy we talked to was great...
  10. Anyone considering trading their R1T for an LE R2?

That's my plan. We don't need and can't really afford two vehicles and the R2 is a better fit for our needs and usage. I have a 22 R1T. We live in the city and the truck is a little too big for my daughters comfort driving. The R2 will get me where I need to go for the little off-roading I do...
  11. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

Hey Budman...why no on LFP? I admittedly haven't stayed on top of the pros and cons of the different chemistries.
  12. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

Minnesota here. Plenty cold and we take road trips across the upper Midwest during the winter. I find 300 miles of range acceptable though I'd sure take more. Depending on price of course. It's a tradeoff. I'm sure it will get better over time.
  13. Estimated time to order R2 - what's your estimated date?

I received an email from Rivian today. Guessing I'm not the only one. It says In June I'll see my estimated time to order. Anyone else? I was hoping to have this thing by then. Day 1 reservation number I believe. March 7th
  14. Rivian Commercial During Survivor

    Thanks! Can't believe I haven't noticed before.
  15. Rivian Commercial During Survivor

Watching Survivor just saw a Rivian commercial. Has Rivian been advertising and I just noticed it?
  16. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

I've pretty much decided to go with the LE R2. Seems like a good value. I'd prefer it to have lidar, but it's not required for me. This would be a good poll for those that know how to set one up. My main reason for getting an R2 - we have a first gen R1T NOW - is the smaller form factor. My...
