  1. Rivian RCV electric ambulance "vanbulance" made for Grey's Anatomy

Not trying to cause any issues...and my comment is more because I've come across it more frequently lately being in Minneapolis and getting sucked into Instagram comments. Is saying something is virtue signaling a form of virtue signaling? In this case I'll go with the product placement option.
  2. Rivian full self-driving

I'm sure that's not the term Rivian is using, bit I'm curious how many think Rivian will get to true point to point self-driving. Whether or not you are interested personally. Due to a health issue I'm no longer able to drive and this would enable me to be more independent. Though I'm...
  3. How long do you plan to keep your current Rivian?

Yeah - a nearby service center is key. Luckily mine is just 20 minutes away.
  4. How long do you plan to keep your current Rivian?

That's my plan as of now. Lease the R2 until the R3 is available.
  5. How long do you plan to keep your current Rivian?

Probably a first love kind of thing 😍. I do sometimes think the early builds have fewer problems because they got more attention when being built. 🤷 I'm guessing I'll like the R2 just as much.
  6. How long do you plan to keep your current Rivian?

I should add that we don't need two vehicles. That probably answers my question. We're definitely getting an R2...since we only need one vehicle...I'm not able to drive right now and may not be able to in the future. Hanging on to the truck doesn't make much sense. As much as I like it. I really...
  7. How long do you plan to keep your current Rivian?

I absolutely love my Gen 1 R1T. We have 68k miles on it. We're also planning on getting an R2 - it is more suited to our use case. Urban driving mostly. I'd love to keep the truck too, but have concerns mostly around the air suspension.Does anyone share those concerns or any others that would...
  8. Let's share your Road trip experience!

+1 for the Tesla membership. I'll add, don't forget to cancel the membership - it's month to month - when you no longer need it. I forgot and this post reminded me. Thanks!
  9. Let's share your Road trip experience!

Things to check. I'm not great at being proactive. I do check tire pressure but that's about it. There's less to it I think than with an ICE vehicle. Two states... that's tough. I guess I would go with Washington and Oregon. You'll get everything scenery wise. Mountains, temperate rain forests...
  10. 100k miles on my Rivian R1T

My previous dog was named Blue. And my R1T is Rivian Blue. I've got 62,190 on my truck. So not nearly the miles you have. I had a leak in the air suspension early on, but no other issues that I can recall. Though I don't drive it hard off road. Forest trails, highways and city streets are where...
  11. Anti-EV agenda

Rivian Forums and PlugShare are my social media.😜
  12. R2 vs. R1? Why are you so excited about the R2 to reserve one?

The size of the R2 is better for us living in an urban environment. We have an R1T and it's tough to navigate parking garages and lots. Also the adjustable air suspension in the R1s has me nervous. Fold flat seats will be nice for car camping.
  13. National Parks - those that impressed you unexpectedly

I'm curious which park or parks you were more impressed by than you expected. For me it is Craters of the Moon. I had no expectations and loved our visit. The landscape was incredible and you were in the middle of it almost before you realized you were in or near the park.
  14. Charging road trip costs

Napkin math for me in the Midwest is DCFC rates are approximately equivalent to gas. I get the Tesla membership if I know I'll be charging more than once - which is pretty much every trip - so that helps a bit. I figure every mile I drive within range of my house is about a third the price of...
  15. Rivian features you didn’t think you’d use (but now love)

Not a small feature, but one that hasn't been well received: Driver plus. I love it driving across North Dakota/Montana or other open farm country...which is every trip to my inlaws.
