We've been complaining about our Rivian having the lamest, smallest clock of any vehicle. Clearly we're not heard.... I've got a better more readable clock in my 70 year old truck!!!
Glad to see they are tilting the mirrors in reverse. Our Rivian is the only vehicle that doesn't do that.
BUT!! I used to use the garage door opener that was on the driver display and the right side steering wheel button while at home. Some genius decided to get rid of that feature. WTF...
Come join us this Sunday in Naptown for the "Kick Gas" EV Day showcase. Let's have a big Rivian showing!! I have no affiliation with this, but Annapolis is always fun and they're shutting down West street for it!
I? actually want to use the camp speaker. I view it as a $100k stereo... that is mono... I've reset it many times. It is fine for a while, then within a week it's beeping and making random noises while in the truck. It needs fixing.
yea, I read that. Thank you. In my other trucks my goal is actually to never or at best seldom hit the brakes.. Always leave room, etc. But, in my ICE trucks, you need to hit the brakes to slow down sometimes... Just like in the R1T I need to take my foot off the pedal all the way. When I do...
it is based on experience, although I have not jack-knifed my trailer with the R1T, but if I'm hauling anything over 5,000 pounds I'll pull it with something else.
We’ve had our R1T now for seven months now and have driven it about 6k miles. Here are some thoughts.
The seats are comfortable!
The quad pack motors are unbelievable, even when towing a 10k trailer.
The handling and acceleration are amazing.
We love the regen braking.
What needs improvement…...
The R1T is heavy, and unless we are towing it is in conserve mode, or Front Wheel Drive. From what have read, some folks are upset because the fronts wear out fast, so to avoid that I'll just do it every 5k miles. The most time consuming part of doing it for me was the pucks and getting it on...
I don't have a spare, on this truck or my other truck, so I just put the fronts on the back and the backs on the front. If I had more than a can of fixaflat for a spare I'd do a 5 tire rotation.

This week the R1T hit 4,994 miles and it seemed like a good idea to rotate the tires. We have a two post lift so I ordered four of the hockey puck inserts from Jeff Bezos at

A couple of things to know...
My 68 year old sister in law wanted me to teach her how to "shoot a gun". Her cluelessness to the repercussions of shooting a person shocked me. And frankly, at her age a young person with minimal skills is going to disarm her and potentially use the weapon against her. My advice to her is give...
