I only the need the cargo area that a three row provides with the third row down because we road trip alot with our family. I just need it to be bigger than our Lyriq. From what I understand the R1S is 15 inches larger in the cargo area compared to the R2 according to the Rivian Employee.
Been having a debate on whether to purchase a used R1S or waiting for a new R2. New R2 is going to be the same price as a used R1S which is my conundrum. The issues are being in Texas where there is no preowned inventory here online so I would have to fly to wherever it's at, pick it up, and...
We have actually had a pretty good experience with it so far knock on wood.... Only minor issues with like the infotainment but other than that its been solid for 6 months and 8k miles already. Only did a 2-year lease because tech is changing so fast in the EV space and we got a hell of a deal...
For our use case since we do road trips every other month really need the max pack. Lyriq gets about 230-250 real world highway range at 80. Considering every Texas highway is over 75 max pack is a necessity because of the range loss.
Thanks! Just measured the Lyriq and it's only a few inches shorter both width and depth. It might work...will have to just look at it in person since it is boxier. I would love to get the Rivian vs something like a Vistiq or Ioniq 9.
This is what I'm thinking as well. The reason the Lyriq feels tiny in the cargo area is because of the sloped roof. We have stuff jam packed to the roof in the Lyriq when doing road trips. Especially when you start including like a pack and play, stroller, suitcases etc.
From what I could tell...
We currently have a Cadillac Lyriq and our lease will be up next year hopefully in time for our R2 reservation. The problem is the Lyriq is a little small for our family. For those that maybe have seen both in person does the R2 seem a little larger in the cargo area?
I know the R1S is maybe a...
Thoughts on how much cargo space would be available in the R2? I don't think any official specs have been released. We will need as a family hauler with at least 35 cubic feet with no seats folded and at least 65-75 with second row folded down. Want to make sure this going to be considered a...
I really do appreciate this comment because this is exactly what I was referring to. It not that I can't afford an 80k truck its more do I need all those features. I wouldn't even be looking at this truck if I couldn't. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love everything the R1T offers. My comment...
I appreciate the feedback. I wasn't trying to be overly negative. This response is everything I was referring to. I truly do love mostly everything about the vehicle after researching for a long time.
I came here with good intentions and I'm getting blown up for one comment. Also, very short sited on the no research. I've been keeping up with all things EV and very much in tune with Rivian and the things they are doing. All I stated was that to get more people on board there needs to be more...
I'm not attempting to quibble, just going off of what I read but I appreciate the feedback. I'll have to look more into it. I truly am considering purchasing one once NACS is in.
I have to disagree with your assessment here because I've watched probably way more videos and reviews on the R1T than I should. Even Kyle Connor from out of spec has mentioned it needs lockers on the vehicle because the electronic system can't compare. Now, I may be wrong because I have never...
Despite what you might think I have actually done plenty of research on the Rivian. I don't need to be sold on an EV. I want an EV, but Rivian does need to do better in this department. They were much closer to where the market needed them to be before the huge price hike. If you read what I...
I recently joined the forum, but I have been a constant lurker curious as to what Rivian has been doing. I've always been into lifestyle vehicles as I love to go spend time outdoors including camping/off-roading. Being a Bronco owner, I have taken my vehicle on numerous trips across the country...
