Your taste is your taste and that’s fine. Comments about the ride quality are spot on- that’s my main complaint after 10k miles in 6 months. That and how clunky adjusting the second row is.
Only odd bit to me was the comment about latency in acceleration. There’s lots of pedal travel in the...
I did this trip over Labor Day, starting in SF itself. Charged at Manteca on the way there, camped 3 nights in the Valley, and drove back.
Valley chargers were choked with people (it was Labor Day, after all) and very slow. Probably better to charge up at a fast charger close to the Valley...
I have constant problems with lane centering when there are cement barriers on one side or narrow lanes in general.
The system does not adjust for physical objects - it just tries (in its very imperfect way) to keep you in the “correct” lane position. But when a semi truck is next to you, or...
You’ll probably have a few issues if you’re detail oriented (picky). None of them prevented me from enjoying my R1S upon delivery. But it’s taken over a week to fix them, even though they had 5 weeks to get ready for my visit and the repairs are minor.
I wish they could get organized enough to...
I really like this, is there any way to use the OEM top mat instead of the wood? I suppose the 3D print would have to be adjusted to shrink the "granola bowl" for a perfect match. Always prefer solutions that change the look as little as possible.
Without a frame it looks slightly unfinished. But I’m not interested in a builtright branded frame and Rivian doesn’t make one, so I may just buy a minimal black silicone one off Amazon.
Update: I mounted mine not-quite-all-the-way to the outside and it seems to be fine. But I am not loving the look in general, and am worried that once I add a license plate frame, I'll be back to setting off the sensors based on the minor increase in width.
Maybe one of those stickers is in my...
I've been struggling with the builtright plate holder for a week. Everywhere I mount it, it still sets off the parking distance sensors. I've lined up the screws/holes exactly as it is on their website and I'm setting them off and triggering the audio alarm (which I silenced) every time I slow...
12v is in my LE R1S frunk, vin 39xx. The delivery guy said I was lucky to have it, but I don’t think he has any insight into whether it’s back for good.
Every manufacturer gets complaints like this. Have any of them been confirmed? My impression is that they are universally, for all manufacturers, either:
1) driver error, or
2) mechanical issue (stuck/obstructed pedal).
Charger ships when you have a VIN, per my guide. I don’t think I’d started any steps when mine got on its way, though the purchase process was open.
