That's why I wanted a hardware solution. While I'm in a fine area cell wise......I would like to have something that will work in the middle of nowhere.
I know the Rivian's will be getting a digital solution to XM. What I was wondering is if there is a good way to add a hardware solution to the car like a module. I know the R1's aren't designed with hardware XM in mind.....but I remember on older cars you could get add in devices.
Yeah, I was thinking the OBD route might be the way I go. Found one with a switch that can keep it powered 24/7 or turns off when the car turns off......assuming the Rivian "shuts off" the accessories power when "off".
