Just a follow up on this. I now have about 6,000 miles on the defenders and they have smoothed out quite a bit and the range is now just slightly worse than the pirellis. So a big improvement with the defenders.
I have a westinghouse 11,500 watt continuous and 14,500 watt surge. It holds 9 1/2 gallons of gas. According to the literature that came with it, it will run 19.5 hours at 50% capacity and 9.5 hours at 100%. If this is correct if you dialed the amps down to 24 you could put 243 miles back on the...
You have to buy a generator grounding plug. You just plug it in to one of the 120v receptacles on the generator. It ties the ground and neutral together so you don't have a floating neutral. Without this the truck will show a fault and won't charge. I have done it and it works fine. Here is an...
I have not had it aligned, but my treadwear has been perfectly even all the way around and I now have 32,000 miles on the truck. It tracks and drives perfectly. I have tried air pressure anywhere from 65 down to 48 psi I wasn’t sure where I should run it with the new tires and was just...
I listed the mileage and battery percentage above so you can check my math. But what I listed is what my truck is doing.
I think rolling resistance is the biggest factor not necessarily the tire weight. As the tires get broken in, I’m hoping they do better and I think that they might. But as...
Highway. A two lane at about 50 mph for about 10 miles and 4 lane for about 32 miles at 72 mph. It is hilly but not much overall elevation change. I understand what people are saying about the perellis and don’t necessarily disagree with some of it, but having now used both, I personally would...
I have the 119's. I have about a 20% decrease in range. I make the same trip several times a week and it without a doubt cut into the range. The tread is much rougher on the defenders and mine cause what sounds like a little vibration noise/ tire noise in the suspension that I didn't have with...
I can tell you that before this update in my R1T Trimax. As long as my hands were on the wheel I could look away for as long as I wanted. I'm not promoting it, just stating a fact with my truck. After this update I can no longer do that.
I had mobile service out yesterday. They proactively changed the 12 volt battery in my R1S. The tech said he was the one looking into why the range didn't show what Rivian advertised on my tri max. He said they had delivered very few tri max trucks, but said they knew it wasn't showing the range...
They are doing it remotely. They asked me to charge to 100% and let them know when that is done so they will have a time stamp. They are then going to see if the truck is really charged to 100% or if the display is incorrectly showing that it is at 100%.
Rivian service is checking logs and is going to report back. I just want to make sure that this brand new battery doesn’t have diminished capacity or some bad cells or something out of the ordinary but when Rivian Service gets done I should know the whole scoop.
Sounds good. Let me know. I hope you meant tri max. But let me know on that if you get a chance. I'm curious also. I'm also very glad to know there is someone worst than me with 5 of these awesome vehicles. Ha!
swflor, I agree with your calculations as mine have been about the same. When I do the math when I put 30% back in the battery and check what the truck says what the kw's put back in are, it prorates to 141 or actually a little better. I just don't understand why it doesn't display what Rivian...
Should be 405 miles in conserve and 371 miles in all purpose. Mine shows 346 all purpose and 395 in conserve right now. Can you tell me if yours is the same at 100% as mine? Rivian support was supposedly going to check other tri max's to see if this was just me or across that configuration.
What does the dash show at 100% charge. I just got the R1T tri max and it shows 346 miles in all purpose at 100% with 22" tires (it should show 371). I'm not sure that it isn't calibrated right. It seems as though the kw is about right when I calculate for instance putting 30% back into the...
I already asked my guide and they said you will get one of the deposits back. I just nabbed a White Tri R1T with ocean coast interior with 22" tires out of the shop. I couldn't believe they had my configuration in there. There haven't been many R1T Tri's in the shop.
I did pick up a R1S from...
I have an R1T on order and am waiting like others. But I drove by the factory in Normal about a month ago just to look and there were tons of R1’s in their lot. I couldn’t get close enough to see if they were T’s or S’s but there was a lot of them. So I don’t know what is going on.
Mine was doing the same. I took it in and Rivian changed the charge port on the truck and that fixed the problem even in hot weather it doesn't reduce the charge.
The first time I used mine it was near impossible to get locked. Try moving the lock in and out without the tesla charger inserted to get an idea of how far it should slide. I put so much force on it I thought it might break. But that did engage it and after that it worked fine and got easier to...
