Alright I’m going to try this and report back. I swore I had it on and still had issues but I could be wrong! Feels like a silly way to enable front elements, wish that you could enable them directly.

I have a heated garage so my wipers are fine at the start of the ride - the frustrating thing which does not happen with any other vehicles that I’ve owned is that the wipers freeze up during the drive. I know that the heating element for the wiper area works because the ice melts off the wipers...

My wipers are constantly frozen when it gets extra cold out - the defrost mode on HI does a decent job melting the ice off but absolutely cooks the cabin such that the heat becomes unbearable. When I turn defrost off the wipers refreeze again. Am I doing something wrong? How do I keep the wipers...

don't forget launch mode for gen 1 quads!

35k is an huge difference. If I had to pick between the two options, I’m not sure I’d even pick the gen 2 over the gen 1 quad for the same price.

11.02 has fixed it for me as well. For me it works like others have stated - if the cameras are on the car won’t switch modes so it won’t freeze.

Dang, hope everything gets fixed to your standard. My mobile tech seemed very competent and I felt like he took good care of the repair so hopefully all your defects will get fixed!

The replacement process was seamless - remote service so I didn’t even need to go down to Calgary. Communication was top notch. I’ve hit over 5000 km and my car has been incredibly reliable (knock on wood). So so happy with my R1S and with Rivian so far. Just wish they could map the freeways so...

I’ve been looking for even the hansshow running boards to get shipped here and it seems like the price jumps up to $1000 after shipping and customs. What are the <$1000 options and what’s the link to buy?

I’ve only got 100A service at my house so I installed the Rivian charger with an EVMS. The EVMS works as intended, cutting off power to the car if I’m using too much power, which happens pretty regularly when I’m making dinner. However, it’s annoying that I have to re-plug the car in again...

Give TD insurance a try for a quote - for me TD’s quote was 25% lower than Rivian’s provider. They even give discounts for the vehicle being an EV.

Yup have had it for 3 weeks now and loving it. Looking forward to seeing more Rivians up here in Edmonton!

I just got my new R1S this weekend and thought the default settings were fine and had no complaints. When I put in these settings at home though… WOW, things sound great! Thank you for putting the work into this!

@MajesticFlooring I’m in Edmonton with a quad and locked it in - if you are itching for a faster delivery I’d reach out to them and tell them you’re flexible on your config. It could be something as silly a spare tire holding back your place in the queue.

You might have had to log into your account and checked the events tab - unfortunately it looks as though the event is now full. They had a bunch of test drives for the first half of February available when I first looked. Have you received your configuration lock in email yet? I’m in Edmonton...
