@superfluid, if you are looking for a job, Rivian needs you:

I have been using your EQ settings since you posted them, and I think they help nicely. I do wonder if things have...
You cannot charge from a generator inlet. That is a one way connection for power going from your generator to your house. You cannot pull grid power out of a generator inlet unless there is a very serious safety problem. You should have either a transfer switch or a generator interlock to ensure...
It would also help to quote the job in northeast Philly instead of the Main Line. I got similarly high quotes for a simple 15-foot run from the panel, which I highly suspect was mainly because it’s an EV charger in a high rent district. There’s also Johnny Doc.
Also, 100% agree with advice to...
Well, you ran into another limitation of the Delta Pro that is poorly documented, if at all. You can't AC charge while outputting 240V from two paired Delta Pros. The only way to charge while outputting 240V is via DC. You could use solar panels, the car charger (very slow), an EcoFlow smart...
It looks like they fixed this with the Delta Ultra based on OP's results, but the Delta Pro (and many earlier Delta units) do not have true pass-through charging for AC. When the AC outlets are on while also charging from AC, the Delta Pro goes into a "bypass" mode where the AC outputs are...
That route shows a reference consumption of 4.08 mi/kwh. Do you really get that? I only get 2.18 mi/kwh reference consumption based on live data, which seems pretty accurate based on my experience. That's for a Gen 1 / Quad / Large / R1S / 21" wheels.
In the last few days, I noticed a "heart" button for Tidal tracks. It doesn't seem to know the hearted-status of my tracks, but if I heart them in the Rivian Tidal app, that change does seem to eventually sync back to Tidal (not immediately).
Interestingly, I don't think this change...
It appears they may actually be moving somewhat in this direction based on a recent website change. See my thread on it here: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/third-party-repair-shop-partner-portal.35414/. We'll see if they make the program enticing enough that third party shops...
Thank you for the diplomatic clarification! And I definitely agree that waiting at a mobbed Tesla station would be way way down on the list—like plan F.
OP, how did you determine that the Mifflintown charger was Tesla only? Just based on Plugshare? Today, I see it is listed as open to other EVs on both the Tesla and Rivian apps.
What I'm wondering is if Tesla dynamically restricts them based on demand--like when they're full because of an...
This is what I'm worried about, which is why I'm wondering if any shops have actually done this. For 3-4 Rivians per year it obviously doesn't work. But there are lots of big service center deserts out there, which may present an opportunity if this program doesn't actually suck.
I ordered one charger, received one charger, but was charged twice. Contacted Fisker without response, and now disputing the duplicate charge. Seems like it was a chaotic process.
This all sounds promising. Not sure how many shops will want to deal with this program, especially in areas with few Rivians on the road, but this seems like good progress toward a real solution for service. There are only so many buyers who will put up with an hour+ drive to get to a...
The service FAQ on Rivian's website suggests that there is now a "Third Party Partner Portal for Parts Ordering and Repair Instructions," and that a third party repair shop could use this to offer non-warranty repairs and service. See...
Just an update, I got the ContronX mount suggested by @bowhunter (thanks again!). It works great through the rear glass roof panel of the R1S, and I don't hear any whine. It's powered from a 100W USB-C adapter plugged into the rear 12V port, with a USB-C to barrel adapter that negotiates to...
On the concept of reducing tongue weight and trailer stability, I highly recommend the following video and paper:
https://purehost.bath.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/147993632/JAUTO981.pdf
Bottom line is that you should not load up the back of your trailer like a see-saw to reduce tongue weight...
I ordered 8/28, shipped 9/12, received 9/15. Actually saw two labels created, but only one actually shipped. Must be kind of chaotic. I'm surprised they haven't shipped them all out by now--I thought I ordered near the end of the run.
Thank you!! Just what I was hoping for. In the R1S, I’d put it on the rear roof panel, so hopefully it won’t interfere with that nice new audio update… thanks!
