I'm sure there's something to that. And I totally get it from my line of work, too. CS told me that my guide said she has like 50-60 deliveries this week (and who knows how many other customers she's paired with waiting on deliveries in the next couple of months - I was a DM slated for, I'd...
Update: She came through and I think stuck around just past the end of her shift so I'll give her credit on that. Just added some stress to the day. Looking forward to hopefully having a smooth delivery at 9:45 Friday.
She's been pretty responsive (at least seemingly compared to other stories)...
I know the guides are overwhelmed right now with the EOY push and coming off a holiday but I'm trying to make a pretty simple tweak to my purchase agreement (switching lenders) and despite texting with my guide, I'm multiple hours in (I had to call CS to get the guide's attention) waiting for a...
I'm not sure that the demand is slowing down as much as their ability to produce vehicles is catching up. Eventually they'd get to the point that they'd have inventory - few car companies have no inventory at all and a wait of months (or longer) to get any vehicle. At $80k or $100k, the R1 is...
From what I've seen (and I think understand from my guide), it looks like they've given pretty much everyone shop access to try to clear out any inventory for end of quarter. My guide told me having shop access doesn't affect timing on custom build if you don't pull the trigger on anything in...
I would've expected DM/Large Pack to be among the most popular configurations - kind of shocked if they don't think project that they're producing them again until after the factory reopens.
The tire replacement cost is also lower on the 22s than the 21s since you've actually got options. The range loss is pretty minimal (10 miles) to go from 21 to 22 so it becomes mostly an aesthetic call IMO. I've got a limestone config confirmed (never was offered shop access) but the darks just...
Asked my guide if she knew when the update was coming and just heard back "The next delivery window refresh will be posted in the next few days!" So I guess not "end of this month" anymore?
I think you're right. They definitely want to show the momentum to investors. I do wonder what the 2024 updates on the line are - I'd imagine NACS is the big change and doubt they'd put 800V in at that point but waiting may prove the better move (says the guy eager to get one sooner anyway)
