I test drove the Sierra ev… was considering purchasing it for the extra room.. but it just felt inferior drive and tech wise. The extra room was cool, but it just felt like taking a step back… that is the Denali version too. Can’t imagine how bad the silverado Feels.

The market has decided, Rivian doesn’t have car play … yet everyone here has flourished with out it.
CarPlay sucks, full stop. Rivian onboard ui > CarPlay. Done.
I bought used R1T without a test drive.
Figured the 8 year warranty would cover me if I had any issues.
still loving my R1T just thinking of trading it in for a full size truck.

Just think of having to connect your car to your phones hotspot as the equivalent of having to hook up your previous car to your phone for Apple CarPlay.

im kind of in the same boat, im considering switching over to Sierra EV truck, really want/need the full size. If rivian had a full size truck I’d grab it.

Since Rivian isn’t selling in Mexico yet, it’s highly likely that the perspective for most individuals on this forum is from the US.
I haven’t been able to find a route with DCFS to any locations I want to go to in Texas, I do frequent national parks and beach locations frequently as well...

Unfortunately the San Antonio service center is going to be near the airport… pretty far away from most Rivian owners in San Antonio most likely live… but I’m still happy not having to drive to Austin so frequently...
warranty is pretty important on these considering how many small issues pop up.
I went used with low mileage, saved me about $10k at the time.
You should have plenty of options and you can probably get the price down a bit from whatever is listed on cars.com.

works well on highways with clearly marked lanes and no construction.
if your highway has construction and the lane isn’t well painted, then it might be nerve inducing. Just make sure you stay attentive in those situations.
