just took my 2023 Quad R1S into the service center in Gaithersburg Maryland for this exact problem. I drove around with a Rivian Technician so he could hear the "click/clunk/thud noise".
He said something like, " yea all the early Quads do that." " It's not dangerous and won't leave you...
Because I don't need to "navigate" to a charger I go to every week. Just give me a button.... which they finally did. Thank you Rivian.
Next they need to add a feature to schedule this.... so I don't even need the button.
I've had the same problem. After the car "sleeps" I open the door and roomy entry doesn't work. I have to manually restore the seat position. Really defeats the purpose of the features.
I'm happy that with the new update there is now a button I was asking for, to prepare the battery without messing around with the Nav system. It was much needed and welcome add to the latest OTA.
My vehicle got an OTA update last night. I haven't checked the details on what was fixed.... but I noticed with pleasure that my contacts showed up immediately when I drove off this morning. I wonder if this has been fixed. I will check again tomorrow and post to this thread.
I actually cleaned all my contacts just like you recommended. I exported them when I traded in my last iPhone and re-installed them manually on my new phone, /so, in my particular case I don't think it's that. there is something else going on....
I totally agree. The Car seems to have no memory. It resyncs the contacts when nothing has changed, and it does forget what you have listened to on any of the conect+ stuff.
I really think this is just a software bug that should be addressed in an update. For Contacts, for example, all...
yea, I know I have a lot of contacts... but the point is I should be able to get in my car, press the phone icon, see my contacts and my favorites, and make a call. NOT wait for contacts to be uploaded. If I've recently added a contact and it's not in the car yet, that is understandable. So...
First I want to say I am not a Rivian basher. I love my Adventure Quad R1S. As I tell all my friends it's the best car I have owned., BUT the phone integration really is terrible. CarPlay or Android auto isn't the solution, the solution is to fix the bugs with the current set up. Here is...
ok, all good suggestions. I will report back on my first encounter. I will try a bit of lubricaiton on the lock mechanism and try wiping down the plug. Eager to try this and will report back on my experience.
I just got my A2Z adapter and was wondering exactly what I need to do to use it at a Tesla Supercharger:
-- Do I need the Tesla app?
-- Give Tesla my Credit card some how?
-- Can I even use the Tesla App with the R1S?
-- Don't think the chargers have a card reader, so I'm thinking this is not...
I had a chat wit The Rivian service folks about a week ago asking about delivery of the adapters. They said they expected to be shipping to all folks by the end of June.
