So long and thanks for all the fish! My Rivian journey began in 2020 and has effectively ended with this announcement. All I got was this lousy email and my pre-order piece of artwork (remember that?)
Wish Rivian well. I will revisit in a decade or so, in the meantime I will enjoy my new...
I'm fairly certain a "click" wouldn't hold up in a court of law (not that it should get to that point). However, it is in Rivian's best interest to refund the money. Keep asking and escalating. I don't think you'll find much sympathy in theses forums, but I think the majority of non-Rivian...
Hate to hear this, but it just reinforces my decision to move on from Rivian for the time being. I'll be watching...hoping this company makes it, but right now there are just simply too many re-occuring major issues with this vehicle.
I think there is a real possibility that many Canadians will not get the same vehicle they reserved. I have an LE vehicle reserved in 2020, but highly doubt I'll ever get it (I live in Manitoba). I think they will eventually stop producing LE vehicles....and I'll probably be offered a R1...
I have a different view on the "people complain on forums...." thought. Reading this thread demonstrates that a lot of people have reported issues. I believe the reason why "Rivian servicing" is such an expanding issue right now is that the company is producing these products with the...
YES. IMHO this price drop will absolutely eat R1S sales. The vast majority of Rivian owners likely use their vehicles as daily drivers...as such the "apples" comment won't apply to a significant portion of the customer base. Yes the vehicles have different functional attributes...so if your an...
I think Rivian will soon phase out the Bosch quad motor engines. There will be many people with early LE pre-orders who will never get LE vehicles. Essentially there are going to push people/direct them into their enduro units…
Ughh….this is exactly why the service centers are so backed up. It’s impossible to know from the forums, but it seems that a very high number of delivered vehicles need some kind of repair in the first few months. They must have a lot of pressure (? stock valuation) to push these vehicles out...
Pre-order Oct 2020. LE R1S. Processing estimate limbo. Not near a service centre…..I hope I get the vehicle, but my brain says I’m just being strung along to keep the reservation numbers up.
I think Rivian is going to phase out the LE quad. All those LE/pre-price hike purchases who have yet to take delivery will be forced to choose a newer enduro vehicle at a less attractive price point.
They really need to have the vehicles leave the production facility in better shape. Pumping them out then "fixing" is just not a good look. An ounce of prevention would likely go a long way...
Its hard to get a sense on the forums what percentage of vehicles need service in the first 6...
Well that's the keypoint. They likely wont wait....my guess is that once the dual motor enduro units are fully in production and the new R2 is up and running....they'll stop/drastically reduce production of the quad motor units and you will likely never get your pre-ordered R1S. I'm in Canada...
