  1. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

All good. I had uneven tread wear on this and an old Lexus a while back. Alignment was fine both times. I generally shy away from the chain tire shops as they’re always trying to sell me some sort of upgrade and (anecdotally I’ll admit) a friend of mine back in college worked at TK and they...
  2. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

I’ve got limited options with my Costco. I’m in Florida and am off pavement maybe 10% of the time. Btw, I realize now I was replying to a 20” tire but I’ve got 22” I had the Michelins and was unimpressed. I ordered them so we’ll see if they even install since they’re 115’s and didn’t offer any...
  3. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

Thanks. I don’t need true AT. I’m just looking at what my Costco stocks and this looked like the most aggressive of what they have.
  4. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

Anyone have opinions on this? I need tires and I’m inclined to pull the trigger.
  5. R1T Tailgate Protection Ideas

Hey folks, I’m looking for a semi permanent protector for the upper rear tailgate (painted area) between brake light bar and tailgate cap. See photo yellow highlight. I’m thinking some sort of sticker since it’s aluminum but was hoping there is either something specific or something others...
  6. Reset Procedures -- 3 Types: Sleep, Infotainment, Full Reset

I’ve got a ride height issue and the rivian tech advisor said to do two back to back full resets. This runs the opposite of what I’ve read here and other places. She was annoyed when I asked if she was sure about back to back resets. Can anyone confirm this is an accepted practice?
  7. Rivian preempts NHTSA accelerator pedal recall with OTA software fix

So I did the software update already but I’ve gotten four voicemails to schedule a physical replacement (vm says it’s not needed) but should I? I don’t get why they’re bugging me so much if it’s not necessary.
  8. Garage Remote Limitations

From my basic understanding it’s totally feasible for gates to also work. Also, I have a 318mhz garage door that still doesn’t work.
  9. Garage Remote Limitations

I sure hope so. I would think this takes a single programmer/engineer about 30 min to update the software.
  10. Garage Remote Limitations

I had a great discussion with an engineer but the response was basically that’s not a supported operator so, ticket closed.
  11. Gear Shop Pricing Just Updated to Match Pre-order

My buddy has juice box at his office and he can remotely unlock it to let me use it and I think there is a pin option as well. Ubiquiti has one that I think would be really good for any shared setting but haven’t used it yet.
  12. Garage Remote Limitations

The question is if, not when they will fix this on the software side. When I spoke to them a few months ago I didn’t get the vibe that there was much/any priority to it
  13. Gear Shop Pricing Just Updated to Match Pre-order

If I had known now what I did then, I wouldn’t have gotten the Rivian charger. You can get “smart” ones for about the same prices or dumb ones for cheaper.
  14. Official Rivian Email: A Look Ahead to 2023. Rivian Membership cancelled and unbundled into subscription services

Considering how much Rivian tracks our locations you’d think letting me use my Spotify account for *free* would be an easy gimme. Still curious what they do with the camera that points directly at the drivers face.
  15. Latest EV tax credit status (as of 12/30/22) - summary by NYT

Oh yah, I’m already taking plus bonus dep that but it stacked with the EV credit before. Unclear if it does with the new credit and household income cap.
  16. Latest EV tax credit status (as of 12/30/22) - summary by NYT

Lol. If you’re citing the 5th amendment you have no clue. Good luck buddy. I hope no one else takes your advice.
  17. Rivian project granted federal wetlands permit, site work to expand

Can’t tell if that’s sarcasms or not but I’ll tell you as someone that works in the construction field, it can take years to determine adverse effects and engineers get it wrong all the time. Usually it’s to my advantage cuz there is a tree or wetland I want to bulldoze…
  18. Latest EV tax credit status (as of 12/30/22) - summary by NYT

No. In an audit YOU have the burden of proof. Not the IRS. How would YOU prove it was bought to be kept? Maybe you can show a job loss or maybe you spent $1k on customizing the vehicle and then decided the ride hurt your back and you’ve got a doctors bill.
