Definitely use the shipping mode. It drops my vampire drain to less than 1% daily for extended parking periods. I agree, this shouldn't be such a nuisance. It sure seems like poor engineering. But, the driving is fun!

If it dented, it is definitely metal. It also looks pretty integral. I would consult a dent removal company first. They have vacuum pumps for removing such dents. Good luck.

I had the same issue DURING a service for the 12v battery recall. They had to replace the sensor in the door. They are for sale on the web, so it must be a common issue. If you are still in warranty, I'm pretty sure it should be covered if you call in about it. Good luck!

I agree. There should be a two-wheel conserve mode for towing loads under a safely determined weight. Also, why is conserve only front wheel drive? They should be able to develop and include technology for two-wheel rear drive, and let you select which one you wish to use.
