You said the 7-pin didn’t work until the hitch was actually attached. So clearly you weren’t driving it when you experienced the problem. Before the hitch was actually attached and you were driving it, are you positive it was on?

One thing to consider: was the truck ‘on’? I hooked my trailer up the other day, and thought I wasn’t getting any power through the 7-pin, but it was actually just that I’d closed the truck door and it had turned itself off and shut down accessory power. Opening the door fixed everything.

Well, mobile service showed up today and did a tire rotation on a reasonably level area of packed dirt! This is way better than the long drive to Colorado Springs! Apparently there are two mobile service techs for all of New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and the El Paso region of Texas.

If I’m somewhere with cell reception, usually Internet radio via Apple Music (I like to get the local info), when I’m outside cell reception, or just on a longer solo drive rather than around town, podcasts via bluetooth.

Well, that’s disappointing. Just drove into Santa Fe, and it pronounced the ‘j’ in Caja Del Oro like English. It pronounced the ‘I’ ‘Rufina’ like ‘Regina’ (Canadian-style). Worst of all, it pronounced ‘Cerillos’ the same wrong way as every other navigation.
