They were OE on my F150 Lightning. I wasn’t a fan. Wore extremely quickly and never impressed with their grip. I no longer own the Lightning but I just put Nokian OneHT’s on my R1T and they’ve been fantastic. Incredible price too at less than $200 per tire.
I owned a Platinum Lightning for 2 years and am close to 2 years with my R1T. I really liked the Lightning but I love my R1T. Occasionally miss some of the extra space but overall way happier with the Rivian. I lost faith in Ford’s ability to provide meaningful updates and the range was a...
But again, pulling someone out of a snow bank is a 0.01% use case. To drive around with your diff locked in the winter is actually quite dangerous. If you’re driving on snow and ice, it’s better to have one rear wheel spin while the other maintains traction than for both to spin. As soon as both...
Where are you seeing the 20” defenders are 10lbs more? They’re 5lbs lighter and should be significantly more efficient and quieter because the less aggressive tread.
Congrats and welcome!
These trucks are extremely capable. Even on 22’s. If you’re not rock crawling and doing things you need the extra sidewall, I’d get those. You could also get the 20’s and then replace the tires with something slightly less aggressive when the time comes and pick some of...
Same. I’ve had 4 vehicles with windshield tint. 70% is essentially invisible. The amount of heat it cuts down is incredible. I will never go without it again.
I did Xpel ceramic 20% all the way around on my truck with 70 or 80% on the windshield. In Phoenix, it makes an enormous difference. Anytime I’m in a vehicle without ceramic tint, I can immediately feel the sun on my skin. As others have said, the shade of tint is really just preference. Darker...
I have the same wheel color and tire combo. Mine are the 116 rated SL’s. Been through two southern Utah 4x4 Jamboree’s with a bunch of jeeps and have never had any issues! My factory wheels are the 22’s and I do notice a range hit. I average 2.2 with the 22 pirelli’s and about 1.95 on the 20”...
Right, so if I wasn’t worried about longitudinal control, the only benefit to Lukas harness would be that it’s easier to upgrade in the future? This is the harness I’m talking about.
So to be fully functional, you really need to buy the longitudinal upgrade as well as Luka’s gen1 harness? Or upgrade/modify the standard comma harness at a greater expense?
I’m wanting to jump on board but am finding the different harnesses confusing. If comma works with the harness they supply, what is the point, or advantage, of Luka’s Xnor harness? I understand the longitudinal upgrade is a separate component.
There haven’t been any dyno tests that I’m aware of. It was pretty well documented on Gen1 quad motors that up to about 45mph, sport gave you the most power. But above that it reduced power for some reason and had more power in all purpose.
Not sure it will be the same on the tri motors but...
No, doesn’t work with the Christmas tree. Timing is all up to you. Once you’ve engaged all the procedures for launch mode and the accelerator is pinned, it takes a couple seconds to fully enter launch mode. It will tell you on screen when it’s ready
